@ the bolded......I raise my glass
Raise which kind yeye glass. Am glad that Jonathan was booted out. Under Jonathan, naira was devalued three times in six months leading to the election. Naira would have been exchanged @N400 to the dollar had he won the election. Okonjo Iweala would have swallowed Worldbank/IMF wuruwuru recommendations and devalue the naira even more. Buhari still remains a prophet not recognized in his own country. Do you guys know the amounts of pressure he has had to absorb quietly from those Western institutions and powers concerning naira devaluation? Jonathan would have succumbed to their demands had he won the election.
I will rather not import and encourage made in Nigeria goods than support the most corrupt government ever.

Nope, it cost nothing for them to go open account with all banks and use for online transaction, as a business man ready to make profit. You will do such.

Beside the rates can be verified by calling customer care of any bank. You get rate for the day. So you don't need to say this thread.

Take it or leave it, as long as the Central Bank of Nigeria gives banks free hand to determine their rate on their card, the Banks will continue to increase their rate.

My problem, with Mr President and Governor of CBN is that, they want to peg the Dollar at all cost in 199/$1 but they forget to control the banks and yet want to control the black market.

The macroeconomic variables in aspect of Interest rate, inflation rate have a direct significant relationship with exchange rate. However most economist will agree with me that this is the first time, we seeing some abnormalies.

My brother, I am a stunt supporter of Buhari but I have to say if these is how we will go on during these era of so called corruption fight. Then please I want to go back to the Corruption era of Jonathan

If you think the naira still does not need devaluing. Then you must be blind.

Businesses are already doing transactions based on a much lower price(lesser value) than 200. I know my benchmark is at 265 right now.

Everyone here is doing <$5000 business. What about those who need $100,000 or more. I'll rather the naira is devalued and currency controls taken off than this obsession with the naira rate.

Nigeria needs a flexible exchange rate.

Bros all dox points are prediction. Tell me did you predict USD will grow wings to this price when you were chanting change or PMS would grow scarce like gold or PMB will be a junketeer in chief collecting the same scarce USD as estacodes. Tell me the price range of devaluation from 2010-2015 and compare to the last seven months range of unannounced devaluation. If GEJ and NOI actually agreed to the reality on ground the last devaluation should have made the naira trade at #260 normally on the parallel market but they just can't allow Nigerians face the bitter truth so the foreign reserve was used to augment the weakness. Since all Dix CBN boycott started has our foreign reserves increased in the last seven months? Have they caught one high profile politician laundering money since then because that was their claim for reduction in daily withdrawal, spending, BTA and PTA. I'm sure a man was honourable enough to say the truth while another promised #1=1$ just to deceive gullible Nigerians. We are here today and banks rate are worse than GEJ black market rate. So keep those predictions as if they are correct cox u just can't predict the future boss

Re: Exchange Rates Of International Currencies >>>Updates on First Page<<< by texaco1: 6:52am On Dec 11, 2015
I once told people on nairaland here that the first thing to seek before starting any business is knowledge . I can see here that majority of ppl here don't know anything about business and ecomomics . This will be a factor against them. I have been using the rate of 250 for my customers for the past 5 weeks now ,initiall some of them kicked against it but I told them that the rates will still gob high due CBn policies . So they base their purchases on 250 and also set their selling price on this rate.they made handsome profits with enough buffer cash and now they aren't complaining. Now to those thinking this thread is important, pls have a rethink all the cash you guys mention on this thread isn't up to 100k$ or maximum 200k $ per day. That is just the forex requirement of just one single trader in idumota and who doesn't even know what
Re: Exchange Rates Of International Currencies >>>Updates on First Page<<< by texaco1: 6:55am On Dec 11, 2015
That is just the forex requirement of just one single trader in idumota and who doesn't even know what nairaland is. We are talking about a millions of dollars and not the 200 or 500 $ ppl here talk about. Banks have 5 billion dollars with CBn ,which the cbn has refused to let them sell to ppl,you can no longer fund your dorm account with dollars ,this is a CBn policy, spending limits has been reduced ,which means a customer that needs to buy materials of 75k$ from USA here has to run to the black market, secondly the cbn has finally shunned selling forex to bureau de change. All this is to protect the nation external reserves from dropping further down, within the last 5weeks it has dropped by almost 2billion dollars which means the cbn will bring out more hard conditions to discourage ppl from importing ,the nation revenue has dropped drastically and this is one of the major reasons. Ppl need to read and learn in order to be able to forecast in business.business knowledge isn't about moving from one bank to another ,

It's not about just helping you make payment. Remember if payment is made now and along the line something goes wrong between you and the seller and Paypal would want to refund the money back to the Paypal account that made the payment.

If the person that made the payment for you is no where to be found or refuses to refund you, just know you have entered one chance. So tread with caution when asking people to make payments for you.

You sound so knowledgeable here. But you went ballistic when you were supposed to state service delivered even though I never questioned your integrity to avoid future chargebacks.

I have been using pp for over 10years, and it's a sensitive currency to trade in. At this time, there will be loads of Ebola pp.

Nigeria is not even conducive for an importer with ready made goods. Have you tried exporting?

As a young man, 15years ago I tried and I have friends who are still involved today. Ask about their story.

To be involved in production, have you ever had power for 24hours?

Do you know all this dansuki billions are in dollars? Did you know how much Jonathan used for dollar campaign?
