I want to believe the president is taking his time to ensure investigation is fully concluded before moving against him. The CBN governor can only be removed upon an addressed by the president to the senate when a clear case of gross misconduct is established.

We need to be sure you guys were not just from Mars. Who was the CBN governor for the most part of GEJ's term? When did Emefiele Assume office that he will resign for monies disbursed by CBN even when he was not there?

We better thank goodness Sanusi is out of the scene before the oil doom era or else, he would have used all our foreign reserve to defend the Naira. He did 2b USD within a week while there as governor of CBN.

I'm pretty Sure GEJ will be regretting working with some pple in his Government.
Last month it was ex-petroleum minister, Dis Month is Ex- NSA next Month Guess Who?
Next month it will be Bala Mohammed the former FCT minister. The shady land deals running into several billions of naira perpetrated by him will make some of you weep.

President Jonathan complicitly looked the other way whilst these demons were having a field day with our commonwealth.

Jonathan was a disaster.

I remember how she conveniently convinced OBJ to pay off Nigeria debt, only for her to come back and start pushing Jonathan to be borrowing money up and down amidst $120 per barrel of oil sales. She was telling us that we're borrowing below capacity when she clearly knew that the price of oil is volatile. She presented 2015 budget to the national assembly with a paltry sum of N6 billion for agriculture, and she tagged the budget as budget of agricultural transformation. What a clown of an economist!

He has kept mute this days what is happening, he should contribute his own quota to what is happening and the development of Nigeria but no will only see him defending what is not. PDP brought us to where we are now quote me anywhere and I will be glad to answer you.

“All I am just saying is that we are in a constitutional democracy.

“Now, the first question the media should ask is, even under conditions of war, money must be appropriated. The National Assembly, I recall very well, when Aminu Tambuwal was Speaker of the House of Representatives, they reconvened on Sunday in order to attend to an urgent matter submitted by the President. So, the Constitution is very clear.

“Money was looted and foreign countries helped us recover that money and a minister assisted in ensuring that that money is re-looted again. And she is there in Washington and you are here languishing. I am saying that she also must be brought to justice”, the Edo governor said.

Adams Oshiomole

Abacha was even more transparent in his looting of the treasury. Abacha as a military head of state (dictator) had the powers to loot directly withiut recourse to anyone, which he did thru bank transfers (wire).
But in NOI's case what u see is a few memo exchange here and there and the money is moved in raw bills directly from the vault. No bank records, no control mechanism, no accountability.

I expect Iweala to do the right thing by taking responsibility for such a sham of a disbursement made directly by her. Passing the bulk will only do more harm to her in the long run.

This is money loundry in its crudest form.

Ngozi is not a thief. However, she couldn't muster enough willpower to stop the thieving politicians. Her strongest excuse had always been 'the President approved'; remember the $2 billion from Excess Crude account and SWF.
If she's actually worth the noise about her international status and pedigree, she should have resigned in protest. That's what the former SURE P chairman (can't remember his name now) did when he realized GEJ and his team were only paying lip service to fighting corruption.

Will someone tell me why Emiefile is still CBN governor?

I think the presidency doesn't want to do the inevitable in a hurry as they want it to be vividly clear to even the opposition that he deserves all the treatment he'd be getting when the time is ripe.

PS; the pieces are gradually beginning to fit, Sanusi was unwilling to play the puppet thus his replacement with Emefiele?? It keeps getting interesting.

Let's hope so as we are yet to see a case concretely concluded in favour of EFCC in Nigeria. Just so much noise and everything just...vanishes!

My sentiments exactly, why stay there if you can't blow the whistle or ask questions, was she put there just to acknowledge, approve and sign away any request for cash that came across her table??

Silence in the face of corrupt practices is nothing short of indulgence.

Really?? As in seriously?? Does it even matter to you what is at stake here? We are talking about her alleged involvement in the plot to loot our national treasury at will for personal gain and you talk about intelligence and hating??

Is it not nigerians that openly defend and vouch for leaders and public officers involved in corrupt practices? Encouraging them to do even worse?

I hope she eventually clears her name, if not, well, your guess is as good as mine.
