50 You lost 50 from your pocket, so its the property of whoever picks it, coincidentally, the guy owing you picked it. Now on another UNRELATED matter, he paid you 10 he owes from HIS 50. You LOST 50 The problem is mixing up 50 you lost with 10 your friend owes you, or the 40 balance you gave him when he paid you. You only lost 50 once, and that's it. Hope the explanation was ok |
