Some times you say the truth but when you want to lie you do it with the same tenacity you applied in saying the truth.

The bolded is not true. Imo Airport is been upgraded as a local airport not to international airport. Even a kid knows that with all these plot against igbos there's no way they could build two international airports for south east.

Please remove Party affiliation when we discuss, I deal with Individuals not useless Nigerian parties without any real ideology, anything goes for them. Provide right information, because what we discuss here is for interest of igbos it's beyond any political party.
So building Enugu and Owerri airport is not Igbo interest? Let us wait till after 6 years to know if its real or not then we can judge.
Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Nobody: 9:44am On Dec 14, 2015
My point is, don't defend APC to the point of feeding us with wrong information.

I know Imo Airport Is been upgraded, but I haven't read anywhere that Imo Airport is been upgraded to international airport.
It is almost impossible for Federal government to build two international airports in south East when they never wanted any international airport in south east.

Its not about APC. Not everything is politics but where did you get the information that FG never wanted an international airport in Southeast? Its all about viability and Lagos has gone far in attracting almost all our air traffic and a business man will always prefer Lagos. Even after the uogrades most airlines will still prefer the busier Lagos route until the viability of the other airports is noticed.

You people amuse me, so why did;

1. FG build a refinery in Kaduna to refine imported Venezuelan crude?
2. Why did FG build a machine tools plant in Oshogbo, not Onitsha, Nnewi or Aba - is there any industry requiring machine tools in Oshogbo?
3. Why did FG build a steel rolling mill in Katsina, is there any industry in Katsina?
4. Why did FG build a railway from Ajaokuta to Warri, but failed construct a spur to Onitsha?
5. Why did FG have the time and money to build all these, but it took Jonathan to start work on the Second Niger Bridge?

It is good nobody is listening to your type and Rochas. Ndigbo can see clearly with both eyes - and will no longer listen to your types.

I expected you to provide where Imo is been upgraded to international airport.

Na wa for you Abagworo, are you really for interest of igbos? So international airport will survive in North central, south West, south south, but not south East.

I think you're from south south, let's take for instance every other Regions in Nigeria had airport and you were told we can't build airport in south south because you guys can't maintain it. How would you feel? And what does south south stand to lose, economically?

We are talking about some regions having more that 2 international Airports and they are surviving but you're talking south East doesn't even deserve one. What exactly are you? Do you really have any rational reasoning?

No region has 2 international Airports. Nigeria has only 2 functional international Airports in Lagos and Abuja with Port Harcourt, Kano and Enugu having marginal international flights. Let us not act on hearsay based on sentiments.

I have never heard any FG official since I was born up till now I'm in my thirties say that they deliberately don't want to build Airports in Southeast or elsewhhere. Over the years the world has become a global village and Igbos have dispersed making Igboland a likely air hub based on the fact that we like travelling home. Imo Airport has risen past Kano to become the 4th busiest Airport in Nigeria and is still rising. Enugu Airport is also gradually rising in international flights and with support of Igbos might surpass Kano and Port Harcourt in a short while. Let us support FG continue with improvement in infrastructure.

In primary school we were all thought Calabar, Enugu and Maiduguri were international airports but they weren't in the real sense of it. Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano were the only ones until Enugu joined recently to make it 5.

You're right. I always thought calabar was international airport. Meanwhile, Rochas is lobbying for Imo to be upgraded to international airport not that there's ongoing upgrade to international airport.

The pilgrims were airlifted from Maiduguri International
Airport direct to Medina, Saudi Arabia.
It is the first time in two years that pilgrims from the state
were being airlifted from Maiduguri airport as a result of
insurgency, Daily Trust reports.
