The mosque wasn't burnt. The upper floor was however stained by the smoke that came from the burnt kiosks and shops attached to the mosque. The Governor only helped them repaint the mosque, and probably plans to complete and roof the first floor of the building.

Those are the pictures of the mosque after the alleged burning. You can see the shops around the mosque completely burnt down, and destroyed yet the mosque still standing.
You can also see the ground floor looking dirty because of the work going on, on the first floor.

That's just the million dollar question. This unfortunately will not stop their madness next time anything they consider provocative happens, even if it's a cartoon drawn by someone on the moon. This shouldn't be a gesture but an obligation under the law to have state government rebuild properties of targets of religious and ethnic intolerance. Perhaps it may help stem the tide of senseless carnage during these their wild trips under religious cum help indeed megalomania.

Obiano didn't rebuild any Mosque because the said Mosque was never burnt in the first place.The Hausa community in Onitsha misinformed the public and the media carried it without investigating properly. Below is the mosque when Obiano visited. It is still as it was when he visited except that it is being repainted. The mosque as it appears is still under construction though the ground floor is being used already while construction is going on at the upper floor.
