It's really good to know the history of Islam, all the happenings are warning the prophet had already given the ummah. We have more touts roaming the streets of Lagos and Aba than the North so it's a universal problem not only keen to the Northern states; however, you are right about more illiterate youths in the North. It's important to note that the military did not put us in this condition, democracy did! With democracy we've seen unprecedented amount of funds looted. With democracy we have more government officials and more ministries which equals larger budgets and expenditures. With democracy we've seen the rise of different groups capable of destroying the country as they all see the central government as weak and corrupt. Don't get me wrong democracy is still the best form of governance if practiced properly but unfortunately here in Nigeria it is nothing but a showcase!
