Big Men in Nigeria always meet bail. They have a network of connections that transcend party or tribal affairs - unlike the ethnic bashers on NL. 400million is a small matter and a lot of stuff goes on behind the curtain.

Dokpesi may go to jail for a few years but he'll never be poor in this lifetime. Same goes for Ibori who is controlling a dynasty from prison. Dasuki's case is even better, he is a prince of the Caliphate. All this is just entertainment to keep the masses happy

One of my biggest mistake four years ago(2010) was to convince people to vote GEJ/SAMBO ticket in the presidential election even if our vote was infinitesimal compare to the vote of other Nigerians.
I think supporting GEJ/PDP is treasonable in character and felony in attitude.
Those who still supports PDP (haven for corrupt men) are betraying this country.

I'm sorry Nigerians for having supported PDP.

Feeling very remorseful right now.

How can some persons who call themselves elder states men loot the money mearnt to fight insurgency and protects peoples life.
Anyone who does that and still sleeps have the heart of a snake and the conscience of a hyena.

I'm not saying APC is better.
They are all the same.

Na who dem see for under mangoe tree be thief.

I weep 4 my country

Democracy at work.If you want to jail anyone, build your case properly and that is the only way to preserve human rights and dignity.
I dont support looting and corruption but i am very happy that we are still in a Nigeria where an accused is innocent until proven guilty because that is indeed the hallmark of a decent society!!!.

Nigeria is a funny country. How did a civil servant legitimately bring out N200m to pay as bail money. How did he make such money? How much is his annual salary? I think EFCC should move in

Dokpesi and Dasuki are INNOCENT until convicted by a competent court. You cannot convict and jail them on Twitter and the Nation. That is wishful thinking. Dasuki must be released because he did not kill anyone. Let him go back to his family to celebrate freedom. This country that thrives on nonsensical trivia. If they spend one extra DAY in detention, then that is INJUSTICE.

Barcanista

Only one of the sureties is required to be a civil servant.

We would still like to the identity of the individual and I am sure EFCC is even more interested

Nigeria is a perfectly constituted country with a constitution. Nothing is funny. Can a civil servant not borrow money from bank or relatives. Must he pay from his salary? A bit of lateral thinking should suffice here. EFCC must not attempt to query the civil servants. That is not part of their remit. If they try it, then they are trampling on the civil servants fundamental human rights. That will mean litigation.

Bros be smart and think

The government cannot detain him indefinitely. Once he has met the requirements of bail conditions, they have to let him go

Investigations and prosecution is still ongoing.

This is not a military government where they can detain accused persons as long as they want.

A civil servant having N200m!!!. Haba they must be thieves. Efcc should please probe the sureties. Dokpesi is looking very unrepentant about the whole episode. Daar communication should likewise be probed and if possible nationalised.
