The lists are endless.

Few examples like ''Its and it's'', ''everyday and every day'' etc.

English has lots of nuances, that even native speakers have a problem with.

That's a sad reality but I think complacency should be the major factor here and not competence when it comes to written grammar because well educated folks do use it wrongly.

Exactly. It's very embarrassing reading write-ups from supposed tertiary students using am in place of I'm. With the proliferation of smartphones and the inclusion of QWERTY keyboards, one would have thought that the lads and lasses will write in a lucid and persipicuous manner.

When reprimanded, one is told the trite statement of "English is not my mother's language" as if they were taught using pidgin language.

P.S. SwiftKey keyboard and Sympe keyboards are on Playstore, they help.

Since lalasticlala has deemed it fit to throw this in front page, I'm expecting him to come and tell us thee difference.

I'm is short of I am and am is am. It's when using them in sentences that the difference will show. Eg I'm going home
Shola said am going home.

"Shola said I'm going home."

Except you wrote it incorrectly to point out the flaw.

It depends on the usage. Eg I'm going home ,
Shola said am going home.
