Ikunyi Awaji-Ibani, Rivers Speaker Resigns by Clerverly(op): 8:43pm On Dec 18, 2015
The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Ikunyi Awaji-Ibani has resigned his position as Speaker.

Ibani dropped the shocker at exactly 6:57pm today immediately after passing the N307b 2016 budget as presented by the state Governor, Nyesom Wike.

The Speaker did not give any reason but said “in life, there is time for everything.

“I was called to serve and I think I have served you well. At this juncture, I want to announce that I am stepping aside for reasons best known to me.”

Analysts have said, the resignation of the Speaker is a political strategy orchestrated by the state governor, Nyesom Wike.

In the meantime, a Speaker pro tempora to be nominated.

Details later…

Exercise in Futility!

Nyesom Wike Listen and Read how you will be booted out ( Your appeal to the Supreme court doesn't help matters here)

With the Sack of 23 House of Assembly members looming..and the 60 days for rerun also imminent. APC will simply ambush you here by "making Sure" they reclaim most of the seats, thereby given them the constitutional right to elect the Speaker.

Now, having done that, the Speaker and APC will simply wait the for the affirmation of your Sack from the Supreme, and afterwards, swear in the Speaker who will torment, pursue and witch hunt you till you are disgraced on the Election day.

No sympathy for the WiCked!

Your broom waving demonic party tried that shiit in Bayelsa and it backfired - Rivers State is on a serious lockdown for the PDP and you can take that to the bank.

Re: Ikunyi Awaji-Ibani, Rivers Speaker Resigns by Dottore:
Wike a very funny Politician. Forgive me if I call him a learner. The guy only specialises in ranting like a lowlife street man. He has no political game plan.

t's more like:
PEJ: Wike my boy
Wike: I'm here ma
PEJ: have you washed my panties?
Wike: yes ma
PEJ: what of my bras
Wike: I have washed them as well
PEJ: you have tried so much don't worry, even though you have lost 3 times in court, your manhood still lives on and PDP umblela will cover you in court.

Abeg wetin concern Wike for this matter?

Wike should grow some balls and test his popularity at the polls. As it stands, its every man for himself as his allies in the Senate have their own battles to fight at the moment.
