There is more to this story than what is being told. I think its a premeditated plan to attack this sect.

I'm not a muslim, but I know what is wrong when I see one. This is wrong.

That's what I was asking, whether their homes blocked the convoy too. As usual, the supporters of the military gave me an inconclusive answer undecided

@Smartsyn, you must understand that Nigeria is presently volatile with the menace of Boko Haram. The sect should know that what they did was challenging and an attempt to attack the soldiers. The soldiers defended themselves. Who knows if there were bombs hidden. If those bombs had gone off and the Chief of Army Staff was hit and lost his life, you will be writing a different story on Naira land.

I think they deserve what happened to them. This sort of thing will never happen in the South except they are armed robbers or protesting for a just cause. This sect had no reason to be on a government road and blocking a General of the Nigerian Army.

@Smartsyn, if there homes were not destroyed, they will re-group and immediately and launch another attack on the military which will be very dreadful.

As far as i don't like MUSLIM and there barbaric Islam religion, but what the military did is uncalled and genocide!

You can't just attack an unarmed civilian with guns and destroying there home for just that simple protest.

Our military are very STVPID and untrained.

I guess that's what there have been doing in Maiduguri, killing innocent people there and burning villages.

You are the one that is STVPID..How can they be protesting with weapons such as Machete..What are these weapons for

I thought I was the only one in previous threads condemning this act, majority of Nigerians are barbarians and urgently need re-orientation for this country to move forward.
there is no way one can justify this act... even the official military statement sounded guilty and can be used to jail all of them including buratai. This fact finding mission proves that point, they're trying to cover up

You are making this statement because this people have never attacked or killed any of your loved one..They are heartless and brutal..They deserved what they got!

I wonder when blocking of roads became an issue in northern Nigeria . Moslems across the north has been blocking major roads every Friday during their masallachi and nothing has been done about it and nobody talks about it. so what makes this one special?

FVCK off!

Since killing of over 500 is justifiably by you, something must be wrong with you.

Why are you ranting on the thread? Have they killed your family members? Present your case in another thread then. My own case is the incident at hand... I insist that blocking the road with sticks does not justify murdering hundreds including women and children... then even moved further to attack their home at night reducing it to rubble... where in the sane world does the army do that? What happened to the police and restrained civil action? If them kill 5 people, it wont have raised such questions... be careful what you endorse because the next thing you know they are outside your house shooting because they feel justified by previous actions

May be you should read a little history about your religion before you tag another a barbaric religion. Don't you think that your comment provokes and is highly insensitive? that's to show how barbaric you are.

StepTwo:
wonder why the COAS's not tendered a resignation yet.

So they ATEMPTEDto assassinate the chief of army staff ?
But the video on this issue only show the COAS himself arguing with those protesters who were shouting allahu. Akbar and non of them ( in the video ) possed anything above sticks ..IIt would not have remove anything from Buratai if he simply direct his convoy to turn and take a different route as Zaria has very many short cuts to navigate to his destination
Truth is that our soldiers of today are Facebook soldiers they get scared at the least provocation they are mainly peopled by cowards no doubt !

You need to go for eye surgery if you saw the COAS in the video.... Then, Buhari would have been considered incompetent if the COAS took another route and didn't fire him, immediately... Stick and cutlass are dangerous weapons that can kill.... The army response was a bit an overkill but their clearing the road for their chief was in order.... I am sure the soldiers were incensed by the audacity of the lawless youth in the presence of their superiors

Lawlessness and Terrorism gone too far. The Government will be derelict and incriminated if these criminals are not deported to Syria, Sudan, Morocco, Iran and Iraq immediately. Sunnis and Shiites are Parent Stock of ISIS, gun trotting Fulani herdsmen and bokoharam in Nigeria. These people from Syria etc in Saria have tried this recklessness manytimes on Sambo. They tried it on El Rufai and even on Buhari before he became the President. If they have succeeded with this Buraitai's incident, they would gun for Mr. President a second time, since he will always pass through their settlement on his way to Daura. Their strategy is all encompassing in Nigeria. Falae's case was just a slip-shot. Shiites and Sunnis are invaders in Nigeria.

Well, you can tell them to stop hiding in the desert and quit their hit and run cowardly tactics. Let them come out with all their so called weapons cache and block the road. I bet it wouldn't take more than an hour to teach them enough lessons they would remember even in the next life. smiley
Very funny!!!In warfare your enemy can adopt any style or strategy to defeat you, infact he is very likely to adopt strategies that will frustrate your strength. If the iraqis, libyans, afganistanis etc have adopted this your suggestion,America would have won all those wars.Wake up to the modern warfare against terrorism where you want to fight and go back to your family but your enemy wants to fight and die

Well, that's d whole idea. So if Almighty US military couldn't win those wars u mentioned, why is it so hard for naija political and ethnic bigots to give NA a break and understand that unconventional warfare is not easy to win?

I expected the NA to do more media work so that the average Nigerian citizen will understand that terrorism is an unconventional warfare, this way the average citizen will be more sympathetic to the challenges that they are facing and therefore expectations from NA will be more realistic.Terrorism is a monster that all stakeholders in Nigeria should work together to defeat irrespective of our tribes, tongues etc.

You expect the CHIEF of ARMY Staff to yield ground to a mob?!!!!! The whole COAS!!!!! How can he blame soldiers if they run away from battle field?

In a sane country, PMB should have summoned the Chief of Army staff, he will have a hard time explaining the killing of innocent Nigerians including babies. There are rule of engagements, you don,t shoot an unarmed citizen, let COAS show us the video that all the 500 innocent lives lost in the saga were armed.

How do you justify the use of deadly force on babies and women ? How do you justify the massacre that followed at the residence of the sect leader and the eventual destruction of the place?

Proper planning and execution requires the Army to have planned their route, Intel report should have revealed earlier that of the Shiites activities. The COAS should have taken an alternative route.
