I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE NECESSITY OF ONE AND THE OTHER. I THINK DOING ONE; SAY TRADITIONAL, IS ENOUGH ALREADY. SINCE WE HAVE OUR OWN CULTURE AND TRADITION. WHY GO AHEAD TO DO BOTH? ITS LIKE MARRYING TWICE. AFTER ALL THE WHITES ONLY DO IT 'THEIR WAY' AND ONCE.. FOR THAT MATTER. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS IDEA OF DOING A TRADITIONAL AND WHITE WEDDING huh

Conflict of interests.
Christian pastor dont recognise wedding if not done the white way. To them traditional marriagevis not enough. Now their followers to please daddy do both to satisfy both parties involved.
Girls have been brainwashed to see themselves as fully married only after they wear the white gown.
I did traditional and court. I invited my pastor and his pastors to say their blessings at the trad. I have no time for the other wedding. My parents, family and kinsmen gave me away happily. My traditional wedding means I am fully married. The court wedding is to make it legal in the face national and international law. That is all.

The difference is that in white wedding you pay dowry to the Pastor while in traditional wedding you pay to the father of the bride.
