In the US, if you are illegal and willing to work for lower than minimum wage, you can probably get by before the bubble bursts. or you can gatecrash houseparties or raves and steal stuff from drunk or stoned teens. or just stand outside a Walmart with a pan and beg |

fittty:This post is misleading. Illegal Mexicans in the US aren't treated any better than the illegals immigrants from other countries. Adding to that, the police would never turn a blind eye to someone driving without a driver license in the US, be it a US citizen or illegal immigrant. Illegal immigration in the US isn't just a Mexican issue. |

TheCongo2:It depends the state. We have sanctuary states such as California, new mexico, Washington state, utar, colorado and I can go on and on that issues drivers license to illegal immigrants. These states has there priorities differently. They are more concern on insurance or making their roads safe for motorists than any other thing. Immigration is a federal rule but sometimes state sets rules they feel that works for them Good Luck |

cozybunch:His post wasn't about giving drivers license to illegal immigrants. Yes, I agree with the fact that some states give driver license to illegals immigrants. However, what I don't agree with in his post is the fact that that he indicates the police doing nothing when catching someone driving without a license. There is no city in the United States where the police won't summon someone driving without a license. In some states driving without a license will lead to an arrest. And when under arrest, the immigration status will come into play. Adding to that, he was referring to Mexicans as if there were only illegals immigrants from Mexico who were receiving preference in the US. |

TheCongo2:Well you are right to some extent. Before the new rules of issuing drivers license to illegal immigrants, it was difficult to make an arrest to unlicense driver unless a crime is committed such as dwi, dui, hit and run, having control substance and so on. Now they do arrest because times has changed over time, more after 9/11. In those sanctuary cities ICE find it difficult to take charge when such cases come up, thats why is called sanctuary city (san Francisco been the most recent that happened). Immigration is a complicated issue now with states stepping in when they should not. Immigration is a federal law that comes across all states but due to nonconformity, states are treating immigration as a state affair Good Luck |
