Phone size is predicated on multimedia creation and enjoyment. I think this will be the case for a while but I expect size increases to flatten out as smaller and cooler processors that can handle high definition imagery come into the market.

Funny take on phone growth though.

But for the older citizens here, remember that in 1999 there were phones that were like small suitcases with a handset attached on top. They were really big. "Luggable phones" grin

smartphones will definitely get bigger although not as illustrated above. There are many wearables now but none have been a substitute for a smartphone. They are more of accessories linked to a smartphone. Now we are having 6 inches phones and 18 inches tabs. So I don't think they'll be smaller.

You need to update yourself on the direction of the tech markets. The wearables are on their way out before they made a major impact. And your prediction that they will no longer be bigger might not hold water.

My friend, it is very possible, right now you can use your big screen tv to make skype calls via Xbox one. I can even imagine a future where our tvs will be connectected to hundreds of cameras for displaying and broadcasting of real time holographic video conferencing.

What he means is: from the onset, phones were very big, Nokia, Sagem...computers too, in the first and second generation: desktop, mainframe etc. But now, computers in smaller forms of iPads, tablets, laptops etc...Again, we are returning to big phones again...soon, it will become smaller again...the cycle tho...Truly, there is nothing new under the sun.

This is evident in the development of foldable displays, also likely to happen are mobile phones that could could be has small as wearables yet project their display unto glass or air in sizes users can alter and are comfortable with
