I want to buy my next flight online because it is cheaper than buying from agents. I think though that the agent would include other items such as vat, airport tax etc in their price. Please can someone give me a list of such extra charges and the amount of each. I want to go to Frankfurt by Lufthansa. Thanks

I want alternative flight and may not fly Lufthansa.

I can see though that last October I paid following:
Fare : 136800.00
Taxes : 120343.00
Total : 257143.00

I am sure able to get lower fare online . It is how they calculated their taxes I want too find out

Taxes are imposed by POE airports and passed unto customers.
Some countries have lower airport taxes than others. But other charges are also included, like use of toilet facilities, security etc etc etc

Airport taxes is a must pay, agent or online purchase. Such taxes are almost the price of the ticket regardless. Depends on where you are traveling to, here some list

1. Bt-store.com
2. Cheap ticket. Com
3. TripAdvisor
4. Kayet
5. Lowest ticket.com
6. Last minute flight
7. Orbitz
8. Expedia.com

Them you can check what individual airlines has on their websites.

Round trip is also cheap.
Turkish airlines is $890.
Etihad is 960.
Lufthansa is $1,178

cheapoair.com will work compares alot of fares or try trivago.com let me know how it goes?
