dmandy:Pay no heed to his rants, I have taught people far worse than him. He's been learning without appreciation and that's a problem ""It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to the dogs." Matt.15:26. When he is ready to purge himself of his perverse disposition, I will be here to teach him in a very explicit way. I'm sure all my brothers he's mentioned can enlighten him as well. However for now, Just note what St. Paul says about his kind. 1Tim.6:4 "He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself". |

vooks:Its obvious Catholics distort biblical verses to suite their motives . Its crystal clear that these particular verses refute perpetual viginity of Mary. 1. God understands the power of se.xual drive and we all know apostles like Paul have great inspiration and ministration from God to pen down letters he passed to the early churches . According to 1 Corinthians 7 : 1- 5 , a man and woman should get married so they can se.x.ually satisfy their needs and avoid fornication - a very abominable sin before God . And if they stay away from s.ex for a certain purpose then they should come back for their needs to be satisfied so that Satan will not take advantage of their desires to push them into adultery . It says : 1. Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” 2 But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. 3 The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does 5 Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. Now , with the understanding of this . Mary and Joseph were betrothed .... ok everyone knows this story . Mary was simply used by God to bring forth his son . After the birth of Jesus , Mary and Joseph would obviously had needs to be satisfied and as the bible clearly lets us know that husband and wife need each other for that special need to be met and if by any means sex was stopped , it has to be continued so that Satan will not use it as advantage and force them into adultery . Why would God leave both of them se.x starved ? For what reason ? For clearly they are of the flesh and the needs of the flesh need to be taken care of as husband and wife . Mary had fulfilled God's purpose and had needs which Joseph was to satisfy and vice versa . And their "knowledge" of each other brought forth children - Jesus' brothers Matthew 1:24-25, "And Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took as his wife, and kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus." Matthew 13:55 : Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?" Matthew 12:46-47: "While He was still speaking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak to Him. And someone said to Him, "Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You." Mark 6:2-3, "And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue; and the many listeners were astonished, saying, "Where did this man get these things, and what is this wisdom given to Him, and such miracles as these performed by His hands? "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? Are not His sisters here with us?" Acts 1:14, "These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers." 1 Cor. 9:4-5, "Do we not have a right to eat and drink? Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?" Gal. 1:19, "But I did not see any other of the apostles except James, the Lord's brother." John 2:12 "After this He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother, and His brothers, and His disciples; and there they stayed a few days." Claiming these verses do not support the stance that Mary was never a virgin after Jesus' birth is blatant hypocrisy . And Ezekiel 44:2-3 : 2 And the Lord said to me, “This gate shall remain shut; it shall not be opened, and no one shall enter by it, for the Lord, the God of Israel, has entered by it. Therefore it shall remain shut.Lwkmd ! ! ! Please sir vooks , these people no go kill person . Are they insinuating that the gate is ... Forget them . They are filled with fear that they have been holding egregious beliefs about Mary and that could affect their position as Catholic church members . |

brocab:That is the issue, you see it as argument. Arguments are meant to be won and lost whereas discussions are made that we may learn from one another. Don't shy away to lend your voice to the truth because it is not your argument. |

dmandy:The reason why your dishonesty shows is because till now you are yet to explain what the gate stands for. This gives you room to switch meanings halfway into your argument to suit yourself. Ezekiel 44:1-3 (ESV) 1 Then he brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary, which faces east. And it was shut. 2 And the Lord said to me, “This gate shall remain shut; it shall not be opened, and no one shall enter by it, for the Lord, the God of Israel, has entered by it. Therefore it shall remain shut. 3 Only the prince may sit in it to eat bread before the Lord. He shall enter by way of the vestibule of the gate, and shall go out by the same way.” You have highlighted the 'outward sanctuary' on this verse. Is this the inner or the outer gate? Next, look closely at chapter 46. Ezekiel 46:1 (ESV) Thus says the Lord God: The gate of the inner court that faces east shall be shut on the six working days, but on the Sabbath day it shall be opened, and on the day of the new moon it shall be opened. Is this the inner or outer gate? I need to know which of the gates remain shut, and which one is shut 6 days and then opened on sabbath. |

The problem is, you Catholic's and we born again's, see the bible differently, so what you see-doesn't mean we will see what you have seen, either way. You may not accept what I am about to say-but the truth is, as a born again, not only do we learn about the scriptures-but we are taught the scriptures by the Holy Spirit, every time we are seeking His word. So I don't know about you bro, until you become a born again-you won't see the kingdom of God-Jesus told Nicodemus one must be born again before he can enter in to the kingdom of God. And theirs no lie FOUND in the Lord. Mary can't save you, Mary can't pray for you neither, Mary can't take you to heaven. Mary can't deliver new souls to Christ. Her Spirit is with the Lord. Her flesh is in the ground. St Paul is like us-he wasn't talking about his kind, he was talking about your kind refusing to believe. Syncan: |

KingEbukaNaija:I understand very well and I also understand that you believe the vooks wholeheartedly. But I actually believe yourself, Can you honestly answer me based on what you wrote up there? 1. Is Jesus the biological son of a carpenter? 2. Is Apostle James a biological brother of Jesus? 3. Do you really believe that all the apostles of Jesus got married? 4 Finally, You acknowledged that Mary was simply used by God to bring forth his son, would it be wrong to believe that God brought Jesus into the world through Mary? Now, I believe you know the meaning of a gate. |

dmandy: ![]() Moving on, You have failed to meaningfully distinguish the gates of the temple. 44:1-3 has 'OUTER gate of the sanctuary' while 46:1-2 has 'gate of the INNER court' This is way different from inner gate and outer gates you postulate or imagine. But supposing you are right, What do these gates represent? |

vooks:The gate of the sanctuary sir remains shut... This indeed is the inner eastern gate and no one enters it so the prophet could only see the outer part this gate. I hope you know that this temple we are talking about here is a visionary one. The people only come into the courts and cannot go beyond. I am yet to see my dishonesty about the gate, the gate through which the lord entered this earth is Mary and that gate is shut (virgin birth). No other person will pass through her into this world simply because the lord has said so. |

But you don't learn of us-you are more of the abuser type, you have rejected everything we have told you about Christ-we have pointed out the scriptures but you manage to push them away. The fact is-you believe more about Mary, then you do about Christ. So yes, it is an argument between you and vooks. He is given you bible verses, and you are rejecting them, just as quick. dmandy: |

dmandy:Mary is the East gate? Walk me through this verse referencing the SAME gate; Ezekiel 44:3 (ESV) 3 Only the prince may sit in it to eat bread before the Lord. He shall enter by way of the vestibule of the gate, and shall go out by the same way.” What is it all about? Secondly, Why is it escaping you that this gate is called the OUTER gate? Ezekiel 44:1 (ESV) 1 Then he brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary, which faces east. And it was shut. Thirdly, dmandy:Who told you Sanctuary means the inner part of the temple? And finally, What has a shut gate in a vision got to do with Mary? |

brocab:You are sure I have abused you? Sorry if I have, but I still can't recall. I have not rejected anything you have told me about Christ. What was that exactly? No, that's being petty, the problem is that you still think we are arguing or quarrelling over something. I can't push any scripture away but what I am likely to push way is human interpretation of it. I am not sure you read through our discussions, can you point out the bible verse he gave me which I rejected? Please you can do without the argument perception and rather see it as we teaching ourselves and others who are reading. |

vooks:Mary is the east gate, Yes. The Lord will sit in the gate and eat bread, why not? He indeed sat in the gate and get nourished. If you were patient enough to read the post you quoted before rushing to ask questions, you should have noticed where I answered why it was outer to the prophet of God. Now, you will have to agree first that that is the arrangement of the temple, before I walk you through the old testaments and show you how the temple is laid out. Sop now, do you agree that the sanctuary is the inner part of the temple? |

Teaching the word is one thing, but teaching it the way the Lord had told us to teach it, is another, you either give our viewers the true meanings of each scripture-Or we could get ourselves confused and listen to the Catholic's tell their story how they think, the bible was supposed to sound. 1 John 2:21 "I do not write to you, because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because No lie comes from the truth. dmandy: |

dmandy:I can school you on Solomon's and Ezekiel's temple my broda. The Sanctuary is the temple not the inner part of the temple. Question is what has a temple gate got to do with Mary? And who are the other two gates, North, South? |

dmandy:I want to know how Mary morphs into a gate. Thanks Circular reasoning 101 1. We believe after Christ was born, Mary remained a virgin meaning no man came through her after this 2. The East gate of Ezekiel's temple is shut after the Lord goes in through it meaning no man me through it after this 3. The proof for #1 is #2 In short Question is, What has #2 got to do with #1? |

Catholics or born again...both are created by God. Have not seen or heard muslims arguing about who follow the doctrines in the bible. You should ask yourselves who wrote the bible, why did the bible have different writers, why do we have different denominations in the world (pentecostal, orthodox, anglican and the likes). My people perish because they lack knowledge, if you believe in God, let God tell you what you ought to know, ask him questions and am sure he is ever and very ready to answer all questions. Mind you catholic dont pray or bow to mary, we pray in jesus name npt in mary's name. If mary wasny important in jesus life catholic would have abandoned her, but our bible recorded that when the angel came to visit mary he said hail full of grace the lord is with you and when mary visited elizabeth, she said blessed are you amongs women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, and d wedding at canaan, mary told the servant to fill the pot with water and do watever jesus ask dem to do, jesus said woman my time has not come but he still turn the water to wine, we believe mary can interceed for us as you people ask pastors to pray for you(the pastor is indirectly interceeding on your behalf to God).please we shouldnt allow d devil to use this medium to make us sin against God. Judgment will not be passed based on church. It will be passed based on individual and the works of our hands. The lord be with us always. Will be back on why catholics pray the rosary and back it up with the scriptures. |

dmandy:Circular reasoning (Latin: circulus in probando, "circle in proving"; also known as circular logic) is a logical fallacy in which the reasoner begins with what they are trying to end with.[1] The components of a circular argument are often logically valid because if the premises are true, the conclusion must be true. Circular reasoning is not a formal logical fallacy but a pragmatic defect in an argument whereby the premises are just as much in need of proof or evidence as the conclusion, and as a consequence the argument fails to persuade. Other ways to express this are that there is no reason to accept the premises unless one already believes the conclusion, or that the premises provide no independent ground or evidence for the conclusion.[2] Begging the question is closely related to circular reasoning, and in modern usage the two generally refer to the same thing.[3] Circular reasoning is often of the form: "A is true because B is true; B is true because A is true." Circularity can be difficult to detect if it involves a longer chain of propositions. Academic Douglas Walton used the following example of a fallacious circular argument: Wellington is in New Zealand. Therefore, Wellington is in New Zealand.[4] Source |

dmandy:You started with a belief that Mary never had other biological children and your proof for this is another belief that that men are not allowed to go through a gate after the Lord has gone through it. For one, there are exemptions to the gate being shut as evidenced in 46:1 but whether this is valid or not, it does not support Mary perpetual virginity |

dmandy:What has the gate got to do with Mary? You have a habit of ill-thought half-baked asinine arguments you never follow through. On Revelation 12, you abandon the debate halfway after your illogic was outed, you are busy doing the same here. I have lost interest in whether the gate is shut or not because this has nothing to do with Mary |
