Maybe because it fetches more pay. Some of them push to those countries with strict rules because the drug costs twice or more as much as it would fetch in other non strict places where drugs are found in every street corner.

I suggest the government should also create stricter laws for Malaysians living in Nigeria, (immediate indictment for expired visas for one) if possible, frame them up and arrest them so as to imprison them and use them for prisoner exchange for cases like this in future.
We can't just fold our hands and watch our fellow citizens being hung at the gallows. Irrespective of what they have done, they are Nigerians like everyone of us.

Maybe Mr. Ekene didn't no about the drug trafficking laws in Malaysia . I know some who travel to South African the agent told him from South Africa to Canada is just 2 hours by car I was so surprised to hear it from him!
