brocab:Okay, any time one falls down or bows down he or she is worshipping. That's all? Well this folk below is worshipping, (he is both falling down and bowing down) so double worship. what do you say about it? And who is he worshipping?

We all should Worship Christ everyday. Exodus 20:4 " You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven-{Is Mary in heaven} above or on the earth, nor under the earth. You have made Mary in an image above. Jesus wanted us to worship Him, and Him only you shall serve. You should forget about falling down or bowing down to Mary-she is blessed having that opportunity to retrieve a Son from the Father. She is blessed being the Mother of Christ-but in bible terms she had done her job-and now we all need to worship after Jesus in our hearts. dmandy: |

brocab:Him alone shall we 'serve', another term you have brought in. If I 'serve' any other, have I sinned? |
| Re: Why Do Catholics Pray With The Rosary, And Bow To Mary's Statue? by brocab: 9:59am On Dec 29, 2015 |
He isn't worshipping God-but any man who worships another man is turning himself away from God. These are men and women not statues-I don't know them, but what I do know, king-Queen of what country? Its people that make these people what they are-but it's God who made only One King and one Lord- Jesus Christ. dmandy: |

brocab:You are confusing yourself. Now take it one step at a time... (1) The man in the pix is bowing down and falling down (Yes or No) (2) If yes, then he is worshipping according to your definition. (3) Who is he worshipping? |
| Re: Why Do Catholics Pray With The Rosary, And Bow To Mary's Statue? by brocab: 10:04am On Dec 29, 2015 |
Yes' if you worship another. Luke 4:8 "Jesus answered and said, unto him get behind Me Satan, for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve. dmandy: |

Serving customers-as a waiter, or a bar personal, isn't the same as worship those you serve-bowing down, or falling down, kissing statues-praying the rosary's, is what God had said, not to do, in the 10 commandments. You are getting yourself confused, you are twisting the word of God, again. You Catholic's will try anything to defuse what the word of God said. dmandy: |
| Re: Why Do Catholics Pray With The Rosary, And Bow To Mary's Statue? by Nobody: 10:23am On Dec 29, 2015 |
brocab:I have not twisted anything sir, I wanted to find out whether it was possible for someone to serve any other person other than Jesus without sinning? Are you saying it is possible? |
| Re: Why Do Catholics Pray With The Rosary, And Bow To Mary's Statue? by brocab: 10:29am On Dec 29, 2015 |
Well laugh harder, this is what bible worship means, you either fall down or bow down. Honour, adore, praise, Glorify, as the Catholic's have put it, In the name of Mary. Ubenedictus: |

brocab:I don't know, your post didn't specify. I love it when things are kept simple. Are you saying that there are different ways of serving? Can you throw more light. |
| Re: Why Do Catholics Pray With The Rosary, And Bow To Mary's Statue? by Nobody: 10:36am On Dec 29, 2015 |
brocab:Okay, which means he is worshipping. Right? |

brocab:You love to complicate issues You said worship simply means bowing and falling down. I even asked if you were done and you answered me 'thank you'. Now you are here with a litany of activities "Honour, adore, praise, Glorify". Learn to make things simple. It helps. According to your post, If I bow down to God, I worship God, If I bow to Mary, I worship Mary, If I bow to my audience in a theatre hall, I worship my audience? Yes / No If I honor God, I worship, If I honor Mary I worship Mary, and If I honor my Father, I worship my father. Yes / No etc. Have I inferred correctly from your post? Don't fail to point out where I erred o |

dmandy:Lol . I'm not sure if this is a rebuttal . Roll with me bro . Jesus is not of Joseph's seed but a member of the Godhead . Jesus came out from Mary's womb , same with his brothers . And if they are of the same mother then they are are half-brothers . Teachings about heaven and hell were also from Jesus Christ which were also passed through his disciples . And yes his teachings about marriage could also be a ministration from the Holy Spirit but dont rule out a factual certainty that He could be a married man . Please its obvious the gates were literal and not figurative . Am not sure why the bible would choose to describe a woman's private part figuratively . Its utter balderdash to clutch unto that verse to substantiate the Mary's perpetual virginity claim . I repeat as sir vooks had said / have been saying , claims of Mary's perpetual virginity are unbiblical and baseless Care to explain why you chose to overlook biblical verses that refute the perpetual virginity of Mary ? |

KingEbukaNaija:Thanks so much for the invitation and for keeping it civil, bro. I will sure roll with you. Jesus is not Joseph seed, great. Now is it not the same passage that told you that Jesus had biological brothers that also said Jesus is a son of a carpenter? Do you choose to believe one and leave the other? Well, teaching about heaven and hell were passed from Jesus, yes. What about teachings on marriage? I used to think Jesus taught about marriage. Don't you think so? Am I ruling out the possibility (you called it factual certainty, with possibility attached) that he could be married? Are you ruling out the possibility that he could not be married? Bro, there are at least two sides to every possibilities. By the way St. paul said he was not married. No Sir, its not obvious that the gates were literal. Go back to that passage, that was a vision, the temple didn't exist anywhere... actually that vision like most was symbolic and never literal. Btw, I doubt if we have discussed anything about any woman's private part here, or have we? I am yet to see the passage that refutes perpetual virginity, if you bring up any, I will agree with you. |

dmandy:cool Jesus is not Joseph seed, great. Now is it not the same passage that told you that Jesus had biological brothers that also said Jesus is a son of a carpenter?Calm down bro . Mary and Joseph were married and Mary begot Jesus - her first born . The Jews possibly knew of Mary's betrothal and marriage to the carpenter , Joseph and since Mary bore unto Joseph a son , its understandable why they called him the son of the carpenter . They did not know that Christ's conception was not biological . They also clearly knew that this Jesus of a guy had brothers who came forth from the Mary's womb . With this understanding , the verse below KILLS this argument : Matthew 13:55 55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? Makes sense right ? ![]() Do you choose to believe one and leave the other? Bro, there are at least two sides to every possibilities. By the way St. paul said he was not married.Hullop ! There are speculations that he could have been a widower - a quick research I made confirmed this . And the bible wasn't clear enough about his marital status No Sir, its not obvious that the gates were literal. KingEbukaNaija:Lolx I just drank cool water now to cool down. I love your judicious use of 'possibly'. In that line, your conclusion should read 'the Jews possibly did not know that the conception of Jesus was not biological' Don't u think so? The speculations about Paul being a widower, where are they coming from? the bible? Yes, Mary as a person is d gate and it makes sence since the lord passed through her from heaven to earth. I think a more honorable thing to do is bring up the passage that upholds your claims. |

dmandy:good one there ![]() I love your judicious use of 'possibly'. In that line, your conclusion should read 'the Jews possibly did not know that the conception of Jesus was not biological' Don't u think so?Lol . Whether they knew or not does not count actually . They knew that Mary had sons - Jesus , Judas , Simon etc The speculations about Paul being a widower, where are they coming from? the bible?1 Corinthians 9:5 and 1 Corinthians 7:1-7 . It can be deduced tho Yes, Mary as a person is d gate and it makes sence since the lord passed through her from heaven to earth.Asserting that Mary is the gate makes no sense , you have to prove it . You are the one making the claim with just one verse of the bible I think a more honorable thing to do is bring up the passage that upholds your claims.Matthew 1:24-25, "And Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took as his wife, and kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus." Matthew 13:55 : Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?" Matthew 12:46-47: "While He was still speaking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak to Him. And someone said to Him, "Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You." Mark 6:2-3, "And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue; and the many listeners were astonished, saying, "Where did this man get these things, and what is this wisdom given to Him, and such miracles as these performed by His hands? "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? Are not His sisters here with us?" Acts 1:14, "These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers." 1 Cor. 9:4-5, "Do we not have a right to eat and drink? Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?" Gal. 1:19, "But I did not see any other of the apostles except James, the Lord's brother." John 2:12 "After this He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother, and His brothers, and His disciples; and there they stayed a few days." Acts 1 : 14 makes it so clear and undeniable . Lol ... I am not making any claim ... you are !!! ![]() |
