Thanks, i appreciate a lot. i have actually been doing some research and i am thinking of going for university of houston but need more schools and i believe it is you guys that can actually help me with that.... i want an engineering course and i dont know how visible that will be since i studied physics electronics
Oluwabengz:

Google.com should be able to help u with schools but then, I'm sure gurus in the house could suggest some schools for u too, but then, u didn't say anything about the course u would like to major for ur masters.

For the GRE material, this link below will direct u to a tread on NL and all u need about GRE u shall get there....https://www.nairaland.com/1832477/how-achieve-high-scores-gre/52

It's not we that can help you with that. You can also help yourself by conducting intensive research. You're the one who knows your strengths, interests, and financial capability. Moreover, saying you want an "engineering" course isn't specific, and doesn't betoken seriousness and sincerity in pursuing graduate studies.

Anyway, for one to recommend schools, one would need a full rundown of your academic profile (GPA, GRE scores, etc.) Let's start from there. I also would suggest you study something along the lines of Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology given your Bachelors degree in Physics Electronics.

My 2cents sha. It's worth something in Naira.

I sent my transcript to USA via EMS since 15th of this month. The deadline to receive all documents for application has deadline as 4th of January.
According to USPS website, my item arrived New York since on the 22nd of December, but up til now I don't think they have delivered the transcript to the college as there has not been any update apart from 4 days ago when the said the package left Boston.
What's my assurance that my transcript would make it to the admissions office before January 4th? And again, will the school be open? Coz I don't want to hear that there was a failed delivery due to that the school was closed maybe for Christmas break or something. School location is Michigan.
Please what is my assurance that a complication wouldn't arise. Someone please talk to me.

Your document might have been delivered,.It also happened to me sometimes, when i sent a document and tracked it through USPS, The last update on USPS website TILL TODAY was at NewYork, whereas it had since been delivered to the destination.. Just send a mail across to your school if they've gotten your transcript.. I'm sure they would have gotten it.

OK. Thanks a lot. But when school goes on Christmas break, does the admissions office too go on break? I ask because I don't want a situation where they went to deliver the parcel and no one is in office. Does admission officers too go on break?

Lol,depending on location, postman deliver mails even on Sundays...A serious society barely take long holidays from work like ours, thoh there are few exceptions like Thanksgiving..so if ur transcript is mailed to the school, they will get it..

Guys am having similar issues. I registered for paper based GRE and still haven't gotten any response from ETS. The option which I took was to print the form from ETS site, the filled it,went to the centre at Aba which is Dority International school and met Uncle Louis who is incharge of standardized exams, made the payment to him and went back to Calabar. Called him and he said he posted the form to the Princeton address on the form. Guys I just called ETS and they said my form has not gotten to their office. This is 27th and I made dat registration on 25th of November. Am disturbed here. What do I do? Its giving me sleepless night.

OK. Thanks for the assurance. Now I can calm down and sip my cold bottle of Origin without anxiety. The unreplied emails I've been sending to the school also follow dey give me tension.

Your question is funny. Those in admission officer are also human. they need to go spend the Christmas break with there love ones. Your document might be deliver to the school mail, but there wont be anybody to pick it up till Jan when they reason back.

If it's about why did u choose this school? If I were u I would tell them about the scholarship if u had one( mention the amount), the research going on in your department of the school and try to mention the Professor in charge of the research. All other things follow but start with those points.

Thanks bro. I'm officially a Master's graduate of the University of Maryland College Park. It is quite a prestigious thing to be graduating from one of the top 25 engineering schools in the United States. My joy knew no bounds when my name was called on the stage, shook hands with the dean, and handed over my 'certificate'. cheesy Well, 'certificate' as in you're given a fake one sort of but the original one gets mailed to your address about 2 months after graduation, the way it is done here.

I guess Fall/December is a good time to graduate as the joy of graduation also coincides with the christmas celebration. smiley

Hey guys,I need ur response. Am about applying into 4 Universities. One of them require an evaluation by WES,while the rest asked for trancript. Please can u share more light on this. Do I have to evaluate just for one school? Just imagining applying for my transcript to be sent to three schools and the financial aspects involved. Please advice.

Congratulations on your achievement
Not an easy feat...

I believe Engineering, Physics & Math are the most difficult in any University in the United States. Don't really know why Nursing students believe their courses are the most difficult...

Just by taking the prerequisites such as differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Multivariable Calculus and Differential Equations then you will understand what Engineering students pass through...
