Hello all,

Seasons greetings. Please I need you all advice in getting rid of soldier ants in the soil. I am planning on setting up free range snailery but I encountered soldier ants when supervising the land am to use today. The land is situated in south east. I have seen some chemicals online but I want a real life approach from Nairalanders.

I have attached some pics and also the soil texture picture and I noticed the soil is good cos of the good water retention ability.

Please any input would be greatly appreciated.

soldier ants??!? I fvcking hate them with passion. I'd advise u to desert that land, and go use another land asap!!!

Use DD force or put kerosine/Petrol inside water and spray them. You will get your result instantly

Thanks alot. But do you know how long this would remain effective. I simply mean is it 3 months, 6 months and so on. And hope it won't harm snail, ugwu plant and pawpaw plant?.. I ll google DD now but i don't know it..

Keep your farm clean, dnt keep waste around cus dats what dat actract them and when c them. Mix salt and kerosine wid water and spray
