Tolexander:There are some crimes you are accused of all over the world where they lock you up and throw away the keys. Terrorism for one. Every country is in agreement on this. And nowhere did a court order say to release a terrorist suspect and the government of America said no. Unlike what is happening in Nigeria. |

FisifunKododada:That's exactly what they want. They want us to go back to when crooks, looters and criminal elements use our money to evade justice or manipulate the judiciary to walk away from justice. The bankrupt judiciary can grant unconditional bail and release to criminals same way our crime fighting agencies can re arrest with valid new charges. Simple.. |

The Washington Post should not be taken seriously. This is an organization which consistently fails at Fact-Checking but pays more attention to sensationalism so that they can sell more newspapers produced by their dying media empire. nansense hypocrites |

anwe:The federal government can detain anybody as long as they want if they are charge with terrorism and treason. do you know how many millions of Boko haram suspects that are lavishing in jail since GEJ presidency. They have been branded enemy of the state and are change with treason and terrorism just like Nmandi Kanu. As for Gistmo the US courts has also order the release of the detainees but the US government have continue to deny them the right for a trial and has not release them. As long as they are detain by the US government they are protected by US laws |

Compare and contrast PGMB VS JONATHAN 1. GEJ sold fuel at #87 while Buhari is selling at average of #300 & above and fuel is selling half its price all over the world, yet Buharists think GEJ was more corrupt/wasteful. 2. When GEJ Budgeted 1bn for feeding in Aso-Rock in 2014, (halved it to 500 million upon shouts) APC cried wolf and now Buhari's budget for same is 1.7bn yet Buharists are mute and still think GEJ was more corrupt/wasteful. 3. GEJ spent 1.4bn to service all presidential jets in one year while Buhari spends 6bn on same in 6month (they later agreed to 2.5 billion in six months compared to 1.4 in a year for GEJ) yet Buharists think GEJ was more corrupt/wasteful. 4. GEJ gave more funding to education while Buhari's 2016 budget favours Ministry of information more than education yet Buharists think GEJ was more corrupt/wasteful. what r u informing with 39.6 billion if it is not an avenue to defraud Nigeria LEGALLY.? 5. GEJ spent an average of #8million on each international trip while Buhari spends an average of #25m on each international trip yet Buharists think GEJ was more corrupt/wasteful. 6. GEJ created Over 5millon jobs in 5yrs while buhari has sacked over 2million workers in 8months. Check Federal Bureau of Statistics. 7. GEJ made Nigeria's economy the best in Africa & quadrupled our GDP in 4yrs while Buhari has dragged Nigeria's economy down to 8th position in ranking in just 8months. 8. GEJ left naira exchange rate @185 to $1 but buhari has destroyed the naira in just 8 months which now sells at #320 to $1. 9. It took GEJ less than 2weeks to select his cabinet while it took bihari 6months to do same. 10. Buhari claimed that subsidy was fraud (Who is subsidizing who) but buhari has spent trillions on fuel subsidy since may 29 and still no fuel while all buharists have suddenly gone dumb. 11. Buhari/APC accused GEJ of corruption but have not been able to pin one stain on him while Muhammadu Buhari him self followed the crowd that entered into the #DasukiGate. 12. Buhari said that Boko Haram are his misguided brothers while he declared an internationally renowned freedom fighter like Nnamdi Kanu a Terrorist. Can you imagine! 13. Buhari does not have an Honorary WAEC but bags an illegal Honorary (Ph.D) from unapproved El-rufai's university and yet Buharists respect his NEPA Bill more than GEJ's PhD. 14. Buhari used his secondary school principal's recommendation letter to become Military Head of State and again used Court Affidavit to become President. Hansome Hanson tell them!!!RI VS JONATHAN 1. Anyone supporting PMB's direct insult and disregard for the third arm of government is foolish and an enemy of the state. If the constitution of the land is supreme then everyone within its boundaries must obey it, including the President of the nation. If the president cannot uphold the laws of the land, then the same Presidency has no right to demand that the masses obey the laws of the land. Whether or not the article is coming from Washington isn't important. But it's important is that since the zombies are more ran willing to defend the high handedness of their master, then it behoves on every other person to call their bluff. The laws claim all accused are innocent till proven otherwise before a competent court of law. Is PMB insinuating our courts aren't competent? And then the court set a man free but the zombies boss won't allow the man to walk free. Isn't that an invitation to chaos and anarchy? Is democracy too advanced for the black man? Why do we have a constitution? |

bonechamberlain:it doesn't matter if Gistmo is in US territory. A US court has order for their release by the US government refused because they feel they are too much of a security risk. Those detainees are covered by US laws because they are been detain by the US govt |

etebefia:This is one major point a lot of Nigerians don't understand. When they jubilate over a lynching for example, they don't understand that anyone can call them an armed robber one day out of spite and they'll be praying for due process. Suspicion and allegations are not enough to crucify a person (depending on the crime). Stealing is not a crime that needs this level of social annihilation. If anything, Nigerians should be looking deeper into their phucked up system which allows this level of cash transaction. |

nduchucks:What The Washington post is concerned about is that it is the judiciary that have the power to interpret laws. Hence the judges have ruled that they could be granted bail, a democratic government should obey court order. Unless we are no longer in democracy. |

you can't fight corruption by outright and deliberate violation of the rule of law most especially as the number one citizen of this country. it's totally illegal, illogical and even corrupt to do that. you don't need to become a monster in the process of trying to fight a monster. if you feel the system is permitting corrupt elements to go scot free for their corrupt deeds, the best option is to sponsor a reform in our laws to block those loop holes so that it will no longer be exploited and in the process all corrupt element will be brought to book through the rule of law. By so doing you've succeeded in creating a system that checks future corruption. Even the lawfully convicted still have human rights that should not be abused. that's why no matter what, I will always respect the whites, call it inferiority or whatsoever I don't care, I appreciate anything that is good. The whites respect the rule of law to the later no matter whose ox is gored. they are crazy about building systems that ensure checks and balances rather than a single individual abrogating that role to himself. They are always futuristic in their plans that's why they put in place systems to ensure result reproducibility irrespective of who is at the helm of affairs.until the black man change, transform or reform his thinking he can never be equal with the white man talk less of even dominating him. that's the bitter truth whether we like it or not. |
