What I understand the president to be saying actually, which he may not have put in a way that every person would understand, is that we can’t allow a system where prominent people alleged to have committed heinous crimes are given all manner of luxuries after they have put a lot of people in problem and they can’t stay here and answer the charges; they now want to go abroad for treatment while this same thing is not extended to the poor.” President of the African Bar Association, Mr. Hannibal Uwaifo |

Consequences of the actions of Mr. Dasuki. 1. Unnecessary death of soldiers 2. Death of thousands and rape and kidnap of girls. 3. Thousands of IDP 2016 will not be favorable for anyone who wishes Dasuki should enjoy his bail. |

Is the crime of Kanu and Dasuki bailable? Lawyers and their twisting of clear statements and the most annoying part of it all I that they referred to themselves as learned fellow. They are confusing us! |

The need for separation of powers and independent of the three arms of govt is to check abuse and anyone supporting the President really need to seek guidance in history. |

Complete democracy doesn't fit Nigeria. We need democrato-military governance... Ironic?. Nigerians are overly corrupt and stubborn |

psp2pc:Who is IPOB? You are the fools who take trial on the newspapers over a competent court. Take Dasuki to the courts and not the pages of newspapers and seek a conviction because that is the only institutions that can pronounce him guilty. And finally you are the hypocrite who assigned a tribe to me all because I stated that this begging claim is just another cheap propaganda. Is Dasuki ibo? Did you even bother to ask if I am Ibo before you rushed in with your useless YAMS logic. Use brain this 2016 or get ready to lose it |

Yeske2:Nigeria is not ripe for democracy, the rot in the system will ensure these high profile criminals get away with a slap on the wrists. Desperate times requires desparate measures. For forms of government let fools contend, what is administer best is the best. |

teadrake:Today is new year so I will resist the temptation of launching out on you. This is how it goes. There have been a deluge of media sensationalism as per what Dasuki did or didn't do. We are yet to hear Dasuki accept that he committed the allegations which are levelled against him. Infact the man has pleaded not guilty to all the charges being preferred against him. We don't know who is telling the truth so the only appropriate way to ascertain the veracity of the issues is to subject the whole matter to judicial scrutiny. That is the way it works in civilised societies. The principles of rule of law and separate of powers are at least over 100 years in existence so APC and Buhari ought to have known better. Buhari is just a president who will eventually vacate office some day. The workings of the society are enshrined in the judiciary or put in a more vivid way the judiciary holds the supreme/overarching/ultimate fiduciary interest of society. This interest must be kept sacrosanct. Men may come and go but institutions are sacred. We must rise up in unison to condemn any attempt by any government in power to gravitate towards dictatorship and stifling of civil liberties. |

A tortoise and a scorpion were at the bank of a river trying to cross over; Scorpion: Hey, Mr T, What's good? Can you help me across? Tortoise: What? you think i'm daft? I ain't carrying you on my back fool. You'll sting me and then i'll die. Scorpion: That's just stupid. If i sting you and you die, i'll drown. Why would i want to do that? Tortoise: Hmmmm. That kinda makes sense. Ok, hop on. Halfway down the river, the scorpion stings the tortoise and he looks at the scorpion confused as he slowly looses consciousness; Tortoise: But why na? "da phuck? Why would you do that bro? Now i'll die and you'll drown and die too. Scorpion: Hey, what can i say. It's in my nature to sting. It's nature. Neither you or I can change it. Good luck with Buhari. |

Horlufemi:Take him to trail before judging him. He has a right to fair hearing. Whatever is being alleged remain what they are accusations until proven in a law court. Media trail is wrong because the accused is convicted even before the trail. |

| Re: Arms Scam: Dasuki Begs Buhari - The Sun by BishopMagic: 10:36am On Jan 01, 2016 |
Horlufemi:Whatever the consequences, only a court of law can secure a conviction You and your Buhari are wasting time here with your silly propaganda and mock trials on social media and on the pages of newspapers. The court merely granted him bail to which he met it only for him to be re arrested for a yet to be declared allegation. All I can deduce from this is that the EFCC and DSS either have no solid evidence or do not have a clue on how to organise a proper prosecution case. Tell them to build a proof solid case and see if the courts won't convict him. If you can't then let him go. That is how it works and not on the tantrums of a vindictive grumpy old despot. Kappish? |

Horlufemi:You are talking like a r.ape victim. Your leaders have r.aped you to the point that your mind is warped and you don't know right from wrong anymore. This is not for Dasuki. It is in Nigeria's benefit that due process is followed. Today it is Dasuki, tomorrow it could be an innocent man who he is kept in prison indefinitely because of mere suspicion. You all need to start learning how to do things the right way. This jungle justice mentality needs to stop. |

madridguy:Of course, our army was riddled with people who had little or no regards for proper formal education, so it is possible he became head of state without tertiary education. Buhari was never an army general and military certificate or whatever he acquired in the army cannot stand in place of the required certificate he is lacking. He forcefully seized power and made himself a general by jumping ranks. In a civilised society, all awards and honour he got as an illegitimate head of state would be void when seeking for civilian engagement. |

martineverest:This is how people welcome their own slavery It is people like you that don't deserve democracy You home training by the Cain only impacted punitive repercussions in you rather than morals. You are incapable of understanding how democracy works and are used to fiat even if it comes with a whip and a pair of military boots up your ass. In fact I agree with you. You are yet to evolve into understanding that society is not a jungle. You live and exist between the realms of a civilised society and the jungle and that is why zoo is the best analogy to Nigeria. |

Though the affected personalities commit a great atrocities to this country and the president may also be acting in the interest of the nation but it is an act of dictatorship, lawness for for them to still be custody of DSS after a court has granted them bail, the president should respect the rule of law |
| Re: Arms Scam: Dasuki Begs Buhari - The Sun by BishopMagic: 10:46am On Jan 01, 2016 |
Bollinger:They exist somewhere between human society and the wild jungle. Only a zoo meets this realm of existence. If you check they are all your YAMS who are defending the desecration of Justice for their useless despotic president. If they had their way, just as one ab0ki called for early this year, they will suspend the constitution and give supreme powers to their illiterate king. I only blame social media and this site especially for promoting mediocrity and foolishness in the name of patriotism. |

most of the so called lawyers are potentially unreasonable and gravely myopic, have they look back to the grave consequence of the offence Dasuki is being charged. the millions of Nigeria that lost their lives in the short coming of the arm procurement. this is show that the lawyers themselves are the evils hunting Nigeria' s glory. |

BishopMagic:who are the puppet masters you are referring to. if they conduct a silent trial, you lots will say they are shrouding the trial process from the public. I have noticed that you want to start clinching Kanu to Dasuki, so that paraventure dasuki is released you can see a case to hold on to to release your ipob boss. we know your type.... and yes you are definitely Ipob (I didn't say ibo) |
| Re: Arms Scam: Dasuki Begs Buhari - The Sun by Bollinger(m): 10:48am On Jan 01, 2016 |
Lordave:We need to start moving Nigerian children from birth to the civilized world. They'll stay there till they are like 13 years old then brought back. This will help to prevent their mentality from being phucked up. At the rate Nigeria is going, it will take decades to weed out the phucked up way Nigerian's think. |

The people supporting buhari aren't learned. Kanu was granted freedom because there was no strong evidence against him but still he was detained. I just feel bad for dasuki because he messed up himself. Am not yet a politician but I have something I can use against my friends and enemies when the time is right. Being an ex NSA, he should have gathered enough blackmail materials against his political allies and opponents because it might be useful someday. Everyone has skeletons in his/her closet. |

psp2pc:Who is asking for a silent trial? Has any court dismissed any case without hearing? The DSS and EFCC should get their case together. |
