Do we really need #5k.

This question goes to all the youths out there.
In Nigeria, there are few government factory and industries available for the unemployed youths and unemployment is one of the major challenge Nigeria is facing, even the ones available are being runned by foreigners while the owners thereof are sitting at home, why won't there be Niger Delta militant, when there oil is being exploited and the land that produce the oil is left barren. Why won't the SE/SS seek self determination, when the government is being run against there favour, no seaport in the SS region, despite the fact that the zone is more better than Lagos seaport, no international airport in the SE/SS region, policies that are contrary to the SS/SE is being placed and when the people speak they are threatened with death threat. A motion was moved by some noble men in the south east for the practise of true federalism, but up to no avail, it yielded no good fruit, even the people that moved the motion were being threatened with death. I am a youth in this country I seek not #5k but I seek d opportunity to serve my fatherland, I seek not compensation from the government, but I seek where to apply my skills and experience for the betterment of my country, I wish our youths will press on the government to build more skill acquisition centre and more industries than to seek #5k, let me ask u. how long will #5k carry u in a month? If #5k were to be paid to an average of 30million people in a month the total is 1.500000000000 then x the total to 12 months, 150,000,000,000 x 12 = 18 trillion if am not mistaken. What a waste! And guess what, it is will not help anything. Let me ask u, if I give u #5k a month, can u use to do any meaningful thing for a whole year? It would just be spent on clothes and feeding. This would be a liability to the government. Instead I opt that the money to be used should be used to build industries in every zone, not just Lagos and abuja, when that is done there would be employments and the youths might not even need ur #5k in the future.

I don't want #5k, I need industries, see skill acquisition centre, career development centre, entrepreneurship sponsor and many more. This would go a long way in not just helping the youths but, eradicating poverty, reducing unemployment, reducing crime, helping the nation at large e.t.c.

But if u give me #5k I go take.

The 5k thing is a wrong one.

Put that money into better use where it will have genuine ripple effect.

The 5k is not for you if you don't fall in the category of "vulnerable individuals "
Even developed countries have this kind of social safety nets for their citizens . Funny you call the trillions to be used in the scheme a waste cos all the money goes back into the economy .

Nigeria does not have money to sustain a benefit system yet!

How many will take a bank loan to give offertory to church or mosque? Or feed beggars outside your house?

The resource required to fund this benefit system is beyond our means
