I saw the statue of Jesus erected by a well meaning Nigerian in Imo state and all I could do was shake my head in pity. Just like Reno Omokri said, it could be satan he erected without knowing. If you check the book of Isaiah 53:2-5, there Jesus was described,' He had no form'Christ is not as beautiful as religion thought us to believe, its satan who is. Christ had the poorest background, 'ugliest' face and nothing attractive enough to draw people to Him. All He had was God's beauty from within. All these pictures of a handsome man depicting Jesus Christ to make Him pleasant isn't Him.

All you need do is go and study the verse I posted, stop acting all defensive. Am a Christian and I so love the Lord. Let the bible be your guide, stop defending blindly cos u can't argue for God. Go read ur bible its there. Jesus was a man of sorrow, no attracting form..He did all that cos He wanted to die for u and I, He didn't want to have anything of the world, He was poor for u and I,came frm a despised city in Galilee. Jesus wasn't handsome, u probably is more handsome than Him while He was on earthy.

@op,i'm not a good bible student but can you kindly back up your claims with a portion in the bible where it was explicitly stated that Jesus was ugly because have seen some people from a poor background but who still look very cute.

The beauty of Lucifer is not the physical type or facial beauty but the Bible was talking about the precious stones God used in building him. You can read up in Ezekiel 28:13-17. It is his built/building and not his facial beauty the Bible was talking about.

Father forgive them for they know not what they do! For example, they do not remember now that only God is Good. His Goodness includes the best of beauty and handsomeness, 'cos He created nothing ugly.
