One thing I know for sure is that unlike what we had in the past where such sensible criticism would be ignored or labelled 'an attack on the president,' we now have a leader who will give all ears to this sort of expose. I am very sure that unlike what was obtainable in the past, these crazy budget figures will definitely be reviewed downwards for the benefits of Nigeria and Nigerians.

The unfortunate thing is that I expected PDP (the main opposition) to be the ones championing this cause of criticising this budget. It's obvious however that PDP and their supporters are more interested in chasing mundane things like 'freedom for Father Dasu-kristmas.'

If the story of the president withdrawing the budget from NASS is true, then it must really be a courageous and honorable act. That budget needs to reflect the spirit of CHANGE else the government will be surprised how quickly they loose credibility and force their loyal supporters to the sidelines or opposition.

Well, being in opposition is easy. When PMB came in one ofvthe Villa staff recommended new vehicles. They thought he wanted to make money I guess, PMB said he was dine with those left behind by GEJ.

During the PDP era there was complaint that there were govt agencies using BMW as official cars and the then govt refuted it. But then I knew it was a lie cause Customs and Police I see using it then and now.

this is just the preamble. after all the Nation has joined the waillers. as for BIAFRA issue, is it ur headache? don't worry, biafrans will be all laughing when the center can no longer hold. I love the way things are unfolding.

I am surprised that most of the commentators here are ignorant or plain silly. Budgets are meant to be scrutinized and criticized. It is healthy for the society. That's what makes us better collectively. The system is evolving and those who prepare budget will know henceforth that they have to tightening their belt.

Secondly, it's not everything in the budget you must implement. you could realign your budget to reflect the realities on ground. What we have currently is a budget proposal and not the signed budget, so anything deemed not practical or beneficial can be expunged before a final signoff

I will imagine, something this basic is lost on many wailers, right from their leadership to the dolts on NL
