Thank you guys i will try it now.

@ bukky85

If you are an international student, the most efficient way to pay your student fees is through Western Union Business Solutions' bank-to-bank transfer. This option allows you to securely pay student fees (which are billed in Canadian dollars) in the currency of your choice.

The amount you transfer to the University of Ottawa must be only for university fees. To find out your balance, see your online statement of account. The University of Ottawa reserves the right to hold any funds sent in excess of tuition and other university fees for a subsequent session.

If you are paying your fees through Western Union Business Solutions yourself

Step 1: Log in to uoZone from the Students page. Under Finances and jobs, select Bank-to-bank transfer for international students.

Step 2:  Process the payment.

Your name and student number are automatically entered.
Enter the amount to be paid in Canadian dollars.
Select the currency you're paying in.*
Finalize the transaction.

Step 3: Initiate the bank transfer.

Take the confirmation page to your local bank.
Your bank then transfers the funds to Western Union Business Solutions.

Step 4: Receive your payment confirmation.

The University adds the Canadian dollar equivalent to your student account and sends a confirmation to your @uOttawa email account.

If a third party is paying your fees

Step 1: Select Bank-to-bank transfer for international students.

Step 2: Process the payment.

Enter the student's name and student number; please be sure to double-check the student's information to ensure the payment is credited to the correct student account.
Enter the amount to be paid in Canadian dollars.
Select the currency for the payment.*
Finalize the transaction.
Step 3: Initiate the bank transfer.

Take the confirmation page to your local bank.
Your bank then transfers the funds to Western Union Business Solutions.
Step 4: Receive your payment confirmation.

The University of Ottawa adds the Canadian dollar equivalent to the student account and sends a confirmation to the student’s @uOttawa email account.
*If your local currency is not on the list of payment options, you must choose another currency for your bank-to-bank transfer.

Please note that the exchange rate quoted is valid for 72 hours from the time indicated on the confirmation you receive after clicking on the Submit button. During this time, the payer must take the confirmation to the local bank, which initiates the transfer of funds through Western Union Business Solutions to the University of Ottawa. Western Union Business Solutions must receive your payment within 72 hours of you receiving the currency quote. If Western Union Business Solutions receives your payment after the 72-hour period, it makes the currency conversion using the current exchange rate.

See the Western Union Business Solutions information sheet for details. For other questions about this payment system email Western Union Business Solutions at studentinquiries@westernunion.com or call 1-877-218-8829.

Hello good people of this great forum. My uncle wants to apply for study permit along with his wife but they are both 42 and they wants to apply for PGD programs having previously secured HND certs in ng. My question now is that won't the age be a barrier? note: they are both employed
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Zim5050: 1:51pm On Jan 06, 2016
I don't think does ID matters oo cos I did not add it to my app.. I only got a letter from the bank which stated dat the sponsor is my mum n she can foot the bills n dey d bank is available to provide further proof if necessary. My app was empty no too much document n I even forgot to add my fees receipt lol. Just added my travel history UK n USA visa with Ghana resident permit das all
Godymn:
Dear All,

If my sponsor is my father, and does not have an international passport, what other identity is okay for me to use as prove of identity?. Will his driver's license be enough?....The reason why I ask is because, I see most people using data page of their sponsor as an identity.

Kindly advise.

Bro pls trust God more. Don't defer yet, u still have about three weeks grace. Most schools allow students to resume within two weeks after resumption. Just mail your school to inform them of your situation and that u might resume late.
plsss somebody should talk to me ,, I want to apply for the university of memorial who can put me 2ru?

Good day house. Pls i need your help and advice on the below.
I applied for student visa in October but was rejected after medical cos of a mistake i made on my application i i reapplied in december and now i have been send another medical request. I had already indicated that i had done medical previously. Dont know if they will update it with the old one or i still have to do a new one

TALK2FABO:
You can decide not to travel within that period because visa is just for traveling purpose so just renew your study permit and get your passport renewed also in that period, then you can renew your study permit to 2020 when you have your passport and work on the visa renewal also. You might see anyone else that can show you a better way but this all i can tell you with my knowledge.

So i should renew my passport first before renewing my student permit?
my main reason for asking this is because i am trying to prevent applying for a new visa because of the new passport.
I just want to renew my passport when it is due.

There are usually two mails. One containing the stamped passport data page and the other containing the medical form.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Now speaking generally from your own personal experience with all what you said above, do you think that overall, the benefits outweighs the struggles or vice versa?
Here is my take on the migration thing.

If you have successfully created a sustainable income in Nigeria that you are happy with, can cater for you and your fam if you have and there are prospects of growth within it, i think it would be better to stay behind in naija and focus on what you are doing. on the other hand, if you have just finished school and are still depending on your parents or guardians and dont really have a plan for the future but just waiting for a miracle to happen; but you have the opportunity to come to Canada? My guy or girl dont been hesitate.

Out here though, you would have to work hard but you would be able have a better life and if you are prudent, you would be able to save up some cash to do your peronal stuff. In my case, when I was in naija, having 2 million naira in my personal bank account to start up a business was a pipe dream but 3.5 years later in Canada, Ive not only been able to raise that kind of money, but ive also become self sustainable, independent and can actually plan for the future because i have some change now

Good morning all please i track my application this morning and it reads that it haa been dispatch to vfs center lagos and i have not receive any an approval or dispatch mail.please gurus in the house what s the meaning and what should i do now?

This happened in my second application. It means you've probably been refused (I'm sorry). There is a chance you might have been approved tho, you'll have to wait and pick up your docs at VFS to be sure. I pray it's an approval. Best of luck.
