Abeokuta? Shagamu? Ijebu? Sango? Forget Akure. Schools and industries do not guarantee development. Development is genuine when the higher percentage of the populace are learned. Dont tell me about Awo's free education policy cos i am an adult education specialist in your west and I have come across people who are sixty years and less and who have never sat down in a classroom to learn until we brought succour their way.
What's the form of development then?
And you dare says Ogun isn't learned when there are people like Wole Soyinka, Osinbajo etc!
Abeg leave mata for mathais!

You are just dumb! How does state compare to a whole region!? Not to mention that the Eastern already had an Eastern Premier but still wants to govern over a Western region!
Assuming a Western man was governing the Eastern while the West rejected an Eastern, that would have been a different case!
Now you're beginning to get the point of ZIKISM. When elections throw up a candidate that the voters believe can serve their best interest, no one can do anything about it. In that 1952, the first Mayor of Enugu was Mallam Altine from Katsina. Altine almost lost his life thee years earlier, in the struggle for better conditions for colliery workers, and had practically established himself as a dependable leader of the masses. Political fusion was progressing all over Nigeria, until that Carpet-Crossing by people elected on NCNC ticket, such as Adisa Akinloye, Anthony Enahoro, et al. So the Military Regimes tried to prove that what works in the United States, and the engine of their success story, can be replicated in Nigeria.

In as much as I love Azikiwe, I feel he made a costly mistake by not forming a southern government with Awo. Azikiwe's romance with the North was a big error.

His ego and greed got the better of him. Sir Michael Okpara is on record as saying Zik chose Balewa because he felt could control the "olodo" aaboki. As Balewa enter he change am for Zik sharply.

It is a known fact that Awolowo was prepared to work with Zik, in fact he had asked Zik if they could form a Government together, but Zik prefered Ahmadu Bello. Why do you think people then referred to Zik as the beautiful bride. Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello were sworn enemies hence Awo was jailed in the 60s. But both could work with Zik. If the Igbos have a problem today, they should trace it back to Zik.

And when Igbos call Hausa the slave masters of the Yoruba, I can only laugh. It is on record that the Hausa and Yoruba have never voted in similar fashion except in 2015. Just check history.

Zik accepted to serve under Balewa in 1960 and 1964. Ekweme accepted to serve under Shagari in 1979. Both Hausa and Igbo voted Shagari/Ekweme. In 1999, the Hausa and Igbo voted Obasanjo remember. So who really are the slaves here?

The summary of the police calculations in Nigeria was shown in 2011. The South united and voted in Jonathan. It means if the South unites, they will always defeat the North. The North always seems to be in charge because the South is hardly ever united.

lol....Zik didnt serve under Balewa. He formed a coalition with Balewa where posts were EQUALLY shared. He got the presidency as lesser post - so to speak - ONLY because d NCNC had lesser number of members of parliament in d coalition.

In 1979, shagari struck an alliance with Ekwueme's party - a second string party in d east just like what APGA is to d PDP in d South-East today. Cabinet positions were EQUALLY shared.

Can you compare these two coalition with d alliance that formed APC where Buhari is filling govt positions with people from his region without challenge. A lopsided coalition.

Trying to loop in Igbos into Yoruba servitude to d North is just laughable.

Have u ever asked yourself why Awolowo refused to form a coalition with North in d first republic?? Why he refused to take a northern running mate in 1979?? The sooner u can answr these questions, the sooner you'll come to terms with your pple's slavery.

Ogun has the highest spread of higher institutions in Nigeria but they still have a high rate of poverty, underdevelopment and illiteracy. Forget names; Ekiti has more professors than Kano and Kaduna states but is Ekiti more developed?

Ekiti's capital state, Ado-Ekiti is far better than anything in Anambra/Ebonyi! Don't forget Ado Ekiti was formally the capital city of Ondo state before Ekiti was carved out.
I've toured round the Southeast, from Anambra to Ebonyi while going to Calabar! The only place I didn't see were Imo and Abia state!

In this country, this is actually a weakness.
3 of our states collect some of the lowest allocations .
With that little thing they provide the little social services they can
Yet the home states are the most enburdened in the country with imported human misery.
Tussling with our less well off for the limited opportunities available in the homeland.
Hoe are you repaid?
With hate.
Look at the idiott called Jonathan (a nobody fished out from the Creek and adorned with the robe of an emperor). Look at how he repaid us.
Even our conservative are like liberals when compared.

So, what do you think is the way out? I mean, enlighten me.
