It is pretty clear by now to all and sundry that GEJ ran an 'anything goes' system of government, devoid of any iota of accountability.

I don't think this has to do with the past administration, despite it being an inefficient administration. However, this is a Nigerian factor where people exploit weaknesses and government is less concerned in blocking leakages.

Scrutinize the budget of the various ministries and board to check excesses and remove the irrelevance in them, make sure they account for any penny spent and regulate their finances.
Tell me how money will be stole in millions.

My wifey had long been complainiig about non oil revenues in the country, as in how the government accounted for them.Majority are not remitted to CBN..Kudos should be given to the minister of fimance, I know she would make a great impact on the economy in time like this, being a chartered accountant.This was she revolutionalised ogun states IGR

. . . collects $10m, cuts and shares some like Dasuki, goes to ab0k! with the remaining . . ., changes it at BM rate, remits to FG @ CBN rate, makes probably anything between N10-N50 naira averagely on every dollar depending . . . e.g. makes roughly N10m-N50m on every $1m exchanged -- cool money right?

Our systems are fxcking weak, and this is not just about GEJ only.

First it was Dasuki collecting money from CBN and misappropriating it without the coordinating minister of the economy's knowledge or intervention. Now it's a government agency whose function is purely maritime related is now operating as a bureau de change. And some people will still tell me that Okonjo-Iwaela was ontop of her game.

The previous administrations were swimming in petrol-dollars that money from non-oil source was viewed basically as BONUS and they never bothered to scrutinize their books.

Now, the petrol-dollar has dramatically reduced and the new govt unfortunately have to look elsewhere to fund it's projects and programs.

This is the time to test the ingenuity of our economic managers. Everybody is a genius like NOI in time of plenty, but difficult times like this need real genius to pilot the economic affairs of a country.

That NOI Is in the wrong set up!!

How I wish the Chinese were ruling this country. Many of these people whose names are being touted would have chosen suicide before the government gets to them. We never had a government nor a constitution in this Black British conjured enclave called Nigeria. That is the main source of our challenges in this part of the globe. The Ogbanjes are still in power from Day 1 of 1960.
Imagine that the House of Assembly of the change era are even trying to justify another stupid spending spree of the so-called SCARCE RESOURCES!

Cleaning up the mess in our MDA's might look like cleaning up an oil spill, though difficult and time consuming; it's possible and every inch achievable. At this point in time, we don't need; likewise Buhari didn't look for an economist, banker or accountant of international clout(NOI, Ezekwesili,Soludo and the likes) but a local champion(Adeosun) who might be good at looking at meager resources and turning them up into something tangible.
With Udoma Udo Udoma (Minister of National Planning) helping her out, i think we have a good economic team.

God Bless every inhabitant of Nigeria and God Bless the Land.
