Note:

If any nairalander is interested in doing a PhD in Nuclear Engineering. University of Tennessee, Knoxville Department of Nuclear Engineering is experiencing a shortage of applicants and students. They do have a generous funding tho. In case anybody is interested. I have attached screenshots of the email and flyer. Good luck applicants.
Is this also applicable to masters applicants?

Please has anybody use his/her GTB Naira mastercard in the US this year?
Thanks
I used my Gtb card to buy some things on amazon which I will get today but I bought them two days ago. I think the restrictions was only limited to ATM withdrawal, since I can shop online

For most airlines, you can't get cheap flights on Saturdays and Sundays. The cheapest flights to be gotten in a week are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Try booking your flight for Tuesday/Wednesday next week.

Thank you so much for this!

meritdee:

To add to what AKO1 said.... Make sure your savings is enough for all the expenses listed on your I-20 for the first year.

And more importantly, try to find the relationship between your undergraduate degree/work experience and MsPM. E.g. integration of Accounting and Administration into Project management.

Why this course? It will equip me with the skill and systematic understanding of management related issues to seek advanced leadership position in our Accounting and Administration sector. ( Here: this is you reminding the VO of your work experience and its relationship with Project management by just stating the scope of Project management to that field)

I hope this helps.

Good luck and God bless you.
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by SophiaLisa(f): 5:28pm On Jan 07, 2016
Thanks alot.

I'd take out those points.

However, should I state where I'd be stayine i.e off campus? or should I just mention that.

kennyrony:

You have a good travelling history, but try and ignore the bolded. words. Never you tell the VO you will fund your studies through on-campus job, cos that's not a good response, as the money you will be earning through campus job can or might only cater for your accommodation and feeding.
Secondly Car Document is not a genuine document to present at the embassy, as that can't be a source of income for you when you are away. car is not an asset, it a liability. and
lastly .Telling the VO you will be staying with a friend might not be the best answer. You are a Graduate student, why not tell him/her you will be staying off campus or in school apartment. Telling the VO you will be staying with a friend might look as if you are not capable or financially buoyant.

I wish you all the best.

Thank you for the information given earlier smiley

Good! You can state where you will be staying of campus. It can give the VO good impression that you know where you are going and you already make ur research.

Hello comrades. Anyone has knowledge of University of Rhodes Island's funding for msc students? Their tuition is high but they've got a good program structure for my course. I don't want to forfeit it because of expensive out-of-state tuition.

I only made use of the withdrawal on 31st but since then I have not make use of it. Try using Form A if its for tuition payment. The rate is 197 for form A
