I learnt they are tokunboh vehicles. At least they try sha. These are used vehicles US came to dump them.
You guys can see why president Jonathan must be jailed, he pretended like he loved the country and was busy sharing the money that was supposed to be used to fight these insurgents who were killing innocent people for no good reasons.

Plus don't forget U.S was backing Saudi Arabia the Country that is directly funding boko haram via the Wahhabi terrorist institution. It's a known fact that Boko haram is an affiliate of Saudi Arabian wahabbi terrorist institution backed by the west. It seems Saudi is running out of ideas and the U.S is no longer on its side.

This is a sign of change of policy against failed 2015 Nigeria will break plans they had and carried out via Boko haram. Well, good news by the way as we'll witness less death of innocent people this year.

Where are our indigenous engineers? I mean engineers who graduated from Nigeria universities, back then in school we were told engineers try to solve problems. I wonder the kind of brain our engineers have. They have nothing to show for their entire five years in university..

New or not, these vehicles could have donation from US to Nigeria to combat BH or it could have been sold to Nigeria but not all story we turn upside down. It was not stated in the topic if it was sold to us and if it was, for how much.

Journalism is when looking at the boths side of a coin without taking side.

Part of Journalism is saying it as it is, without adding or removing or even propagating an ideology except work with the facts on ground. These vehicles to me honestly are too old. They did the same thing just of recent to Ukraine that got the neo-nazis battalions there mad.

Can you just answer this question?

Where these vehicles sold to us as new or they were donations to Nigeria?

No they were not sold but it's only ethical to give someone a gift that is bought new which makes super sense. Not giving a gift at all is better than Giving someone a used gift or second hand. Well, it also depends on the type of friend. In this case of U.S giving Nigeria a used vehicle which is very ok for anyone to report it the way it sees it. may be using used vehicle would have been the perfect word for it which also has a little proportion of dumping such vehicles.

This is how we continue to ridicule ourselves. Now answer me, can U.S give this type of vehicles to U.K for example ? Is that that they have considered Nigeria to be a permanent 3rd world country that no good can ever come out of it ? And they continue to treat us as such ? Even-ordinary Saudi Arabia there, U.S cannot gift used vehicles and say it's donation. Donation to military less country right ?

Though Journalism is without adding emotional feelings but not withstanding, those vehicles are better kept in U.S where they have loads of it. They could have even re-used it or harmer it to new one before giving it out.

Nigeria is not a Country you can gift these types of vehicles.

So me giving a laptop to to someone who doesn't have is not ethical?

No offense oh.. The school you went is what made you so broke that you had to give your friend a used and nearly dead laptop. Naturally you should be in first class as claimed by America and giving your friend brand new laptop. I wonder which school your friend went to, he would have graduated with a 3rd class and no wonder America continue to see you as 3rd world country and you still accepted.

Now you see what you have turned yourself and Nigeria to??

You were told black is evil and you accepted.
You were told anything black is negative and you still proudly accepted
You were told to be wearing black when any of your family members lost their life as a sign of mourning, still you accepted and adopted it into your culture.
You were told anything from your roots are bad and will make you perish but things from outside your own domain are the things that will save you, without questioning, you agree.
When they want to draw the picture of Devil and Satan they draw them with black which is your color and you are so happy with that yet.
Wake up man!!!!!!!!!
What make black evil? Are you not black?
Black is strong, deep, and made of more. Black lives forever.
Be proud of your roots and what's yours.
It is high time you traced your roots and eradicate the lies in your head. You are destined for greater things and wiser than you could ever imagined.

Please is it Nigeria that we are talking about here or another country? Because i dont believe any ressonable citizen of a country that cant manufacture her own bullet has any moral authority to condemn US "dumping" MRAV which market value for new is about a million dollar a piece. Bro, calm your nerves, Nigeria as a nation does not have those mine resistant vehicles and we actually need them to patrol the mine infested Sambisa forest.

Those vehicles could have been bought brand new from the US at very high cost or as second hand at an also high cost, but they were given free of charge. US does not owe anything to Nigeria so you cant blame them for not donating new ones. Whether you like it or not, Nigeria is a poor struggling country and the oil price slump has further compounded our woes and brought us to a recession. A beggar has no choice, it makes absolutely no sense comparing Nigeria to the UK.

And if you live in the NE or if you have relatives or friends there either as soldiers or as residents or indigenes, you will appreciate the problem and understand that Nigeria needs all the help it can get even if it's a donation of second hand guns from Mali. Get down from your high horse bro.

If our men went to abroad with the money to buy new sets of these monsters, they would have still come back with something more useless than what US gave us. Many developing nations would gladly accept such gifts in these days of dwindling fortunes for Nigeria economy. If 2.1 billion dollars extra budgetary fund wasn't divert by Jonathan, we wouldn't have no any need for these vehicles. Now, beggars have no choice. I say, thank you USA, God bless America. God bless Nigeria too. They could have given them to another country, they could have destroyed them.
Re: Photos: US Dumps 24 Mine Resistant Vehicles To Nigerian Army by chyket(m): 10:28am On Jan 08, 2016
I listened to the American Ambassador to Nigeria explain this donation and He said that because America has left war zones like Iraq, afganistan etc, that they have excess stock of this military equipments and they decided to give some out to Countries currently neck deep in the fight against terrorism. The vehicles are still in very good order.

I keep saying it, too many uneducated people in Nigeria. Ordinary Saudi has $600bn in their excess reserves and are complaining, Nigeria has barely $20bn in ours and some people want to come here to compare. India that someone mentioned has a GDP of over $1trn while Nigeria is struggling with about half of that yet you want to compare.

When people come here to talk trash, you just wonder. So Nigeria shouldn't collect equipment because we should be building ours. Let's wait until we build all the weapons we need before we start fighting abi. Just like you guys should wait for Innoson to build all your cars before you buy one. These same people making noise about used will buy a fourth hand car and be doing big boy around their neighborhood.

I'll tell you something about America, those used cars were not given away because they're dead or whatever. They probably gave them away because I'm sure they acquired the latest and greatest models. That's the American culture, they get new things not because what they have is necessarily bad they get new stuff because it's newer, shinier and has more features. That's the reason most Americans are in debt but I digress. These vehicles I'm sure we're very well maintained and still run and function perfect.

Like someone said your thing against this vehicle is purely political nothing more. Do these guys think all those planes we buy are brand new... LMAO!! Go check the planes Dasuki said they ordered and check date of manufacture. Too many clowns on the Internet
