I just don't want us to jump the gun here, that's what I'm saying. Let the anti graft agency connect their dots and present us a vivid image of how complicit Falae is.
The proper channel should have been through the Presidential Campaign Organisation and not a BOT chairman. Believe me,the money was paid as an enticement and I doubt whether the money will show up in the SDP financial report.

As for the dots,Oga Magu has visited Aso rock twice in the last 48 hours. He has also revealed that more prominent persons will be brought in for questioning in the coming weeks. Falae and the other ex-governor should just refund the money.

The problem sir is not about funds for campaign but the source of the money, is it from the office of dasuki or not, directly or indirectly.

I think at this juncture there should be a national consensus that those who collected money from dasuki directly or indirectly should return the money that was given whether it was a donation, campaign funds, suvs or whatever.

Let all monies in form of gifts, campaign funds, suvs e.t.c. proven to be from the ONSA be returned for morality sake.

We need to start setting moral codes for ourselves as a nation if we are truly serious.
Oh well, I imagine Falae isn't as rotten as the rest of them hence my reservation. This lead should be thoroughly investigated and if the old man is guilty of benefiting from the arms money, he should be duly punished.

I just home he doesn't develop a spinal cord injury tomorrow, given their preferred M.O.

Aunty, could you please translate in english what you wrote in your first lines?? cheesy

@ theV0ice, now this is a "source" to take seriously. But the old man says the money came from Anenih. If he didn't get it from the ONSA, then I see no reason he should be vilified. Much as we desire to see a total cleansing of the system, we should be careful not to persecute innocent folks who collected monies to prosecute their party's agenda by way of campaigning- all parties spend money to campaign.
Bros,

Let me tell you a little story. Back in my youth, when we were on Jamb-Uni transition, we we hung out a lot...........there was this story of a guy that "hit" (stole) a large sum of money from his parents. The "gbege" became a police matter. Then police started an arrest spree. If he had as much as bought gala for you, you're arrested. His girl friend claimed he gave her 5k (just like 50k of today) and she used it to buy a skirt. The DPO was so upset(5k for a skirt?), and locked her up.

You cannot claim innocence in a scandal of this magnitude. And our so called Elders in Afenifere who had lost their relevance and now loosing their name, it's a pity

Why was the money not paid directly into the account of the Party(SDP)? Why into his personal account?

Guess you guys are right after all. The fact monies were paid into personal/private accounts and received from individuals by individuals speak volumes of their legitimacy.

Let EFCC do their job.

This #Dasukigate reminds me of a particular scene in Baba Wande's legendary movie "Ti Oluwa N'ile." In the said clip, Aderupoko a morgue attendant was being questioned by the hospital management about his unholy and corrupt practices of selling corpses in the morgue. At a point he said, "O maa gbo'ga; gbogbo won ni n j'alubosha." So Baba Falae too dey chop 'alubosa' even at his age.

Imagine the irony of life. While some elders like Buhari are pained by the wanton corruption in the land, some others like Falae, Anenih, Yakassai want the corruption to continue unabated. No wonder their foolish endorsements and unnecessary heating up of the polity before the elections. They know that there won't be free money. Woe unto elders that do not think about the future of their children and children' children for a bowl of porridge. O ga o.
"Sanya ku, JP ku, eni iketa nko?" All the "eni iketas" that ate our yam will face the music.

It's because of people like this one clueless flip flopper protection seeker was telling us GEJ will win SW. The guys just 419-d GEJ & PDP, these guys just pocketed this money. Afenifere has endorsed PDP.. blah blah blah, endorsement of money sharing. I didn't know inter party agreement included paying another party to support. I thought the exciting thing about endorsement was the endorser was ready to use their resources, human and capital, to support the endorsee. This wasn't an endorsement, it was bribe. Bribe from stolen money, blood money bribe

Seems the kidnappers even knew about the deal sef.

SaharaReporters has learned that the kidnappers of Olu Falae, the former Secretary to the Federal Government, have demanded N100 million from his family for his release.

Very true talk.

An endorsement shouldn't come with payment. Afterall SDP already had their own structures so why ask for money to 'endorse' another party's candidate you so much believed in?

Falae no try at all

Be patient, going to a battle without thinking it through & not covering all bases leaves a lot of vulnerable attack points..

Wisdom is profitable to direct, Tompolo's matter is cooking, Shebi militants are getting paid direct now, you just watch, slow & steady....

I always enjoy the Southwest cacophonous orchestra.
[color=#000000]When Obasanjo signed the evil Decree that whoever heard about a Coups d'état, without reporting it is guilty of same, they applauded. But when the same Decree caught up with their top Generals, man, what a show. This present scenario is approaching the point of no return. Lets just watch'em.

As controversy continues to trail president Goodluck Jonathan’s sudden romance with different groups in the South West, fresh facts have emerged that some prominent Yoruba elders got a whopping N750million as bribe in exchange for their support for Jonathan’s re-election bid, The ELITES reports

Fresh facts have emerged over why a few Yoruba leaders under the guise of Afenifere socio-political group reportedly endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan’s reelection bid. A whopping N750m is the carrot that was dangled before the elders.

Presenting a common interest under the banner of Afenifere, The ELITES’ findings revealed that the elders allegedly involved include former FINANCE Minister and presidential candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), Chief Olu Falae; Chief Reuben Fasoranti, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Chief Lanihun Ajayi and Senator Femi Okurounmu.

Governor Segun Mimiko of Ondo State and Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, are said to have brokered the deal that got the Yoruba leaders rewarded for coming out in the open to pledge their support for Jonathan.

Afenifere leaders had endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term in office in what was seen as a bribe induced meeting orchestrated by the embattled governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Mimiko inside Pa Fasoranti’s residence in Akure.

But on Thursday, the Afenifere leaders retraced their steps and revealed “we only endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan because he promised to implement the recommendations of the National Conference if elected back to power. We didn’t collect money from him for such endorsement, and none gave us money as currently being spread”.

Saharareporters correspondent reports that among leaders present at the meeting were Chief Olu Falae, Bashorun Seinde Arogbofa, Korede Duyile and Femi Aluko.

Following Fasoranti, the former Secretary to Government of the Federation and National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olu Falae said Afenifere leaders have always been on the side of General Muhammadu Buhari and cited his days while contesting under the platform of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in 2007.

Falae disclosed how he raised almost N21 million for the campaign of General Buhari during the 2007 election with an agreement for the convocation of the National conference if he eventually emerged the country’s president.

From raising N21 million to campaign for a candidate in 2007 to collecting N100 million to "endorse" a candidate in 2015 huh huh

No wonder......! The Afenifere chieftains were hell bent to return Jonathan back to Aso Rock unknown to their disciples that they have collected egunje...I know they won't have stuck their necks so deep into Jonathan for presidency if not for monetary inducement..but they kept deceiving the Yoruba populace singing on constitutional conference we stand,Jonathan we trust ,Buhari we do not believe ..Naija Naija ..!
