You may need to re-read my post again without self-inflicted prejudice.
Why release a man who stole public funds because he returned some & promised to return the rest?
Punitive measures, are they not supposed to punish offenders & deter others?
What does our laws say on arrested criminal offenders, if not to arraign them for prosecution?
And where in any of my post have you seen me call prosecution of any politician, Dasuki inclusive "a witch-hunt"?.
And is actions like this not making people assume it's a witch-hunt?
most of these people received these monies without knowing it was actually meant for arms procurement or at least without knowing it's a stolen money so if they are now aware of the source and decide to remit these funds then we are going in the right direction.

By returning the #100million, Isa Jafaru has proven that he is a man of credibility and integrity. He should be commended for his act.

The honourable thing to do for people like Falae and others is to return the monies and free their conscience.

The War Against Corruption Must Be Won
You're sounding so pathetic and ambiguous nowadays. How could refund of money simply qualify him as a "man of integrity"? I am beginning to think the word INTEGRITY has a different meaning in Nigeria. Have you ever asked yourself if Jafaru would have returned the money if there's no probe or arrest? Why did he not refund the money until now if he indeed had integrity?

What exactly did you want from the EFCC again ?
Try, convict & jail him after recovery so that nobody will try to steal the recovered or any public funds knowing you will be penalised if caught.

If this guy can return some money and will be allowed to go, then, plea bargain should be allowed for some people.
Just that there should be strict policy on this.

“We let him go after returning the sum of N100million. We are expecting him to return the rest soon,” the source said.
According to him, some of the suspected recipients of the slush funds who claimed they had no idea the money sent to them was taken from the public till were handed opportunities to return what they got from the former NSA but refused.

We offered them the chance of returning the money honorably but they keep deploying tactics to avoid prosecution, while also going away with the loot,” he said.
That is a reasonable thing to do. If you don't know the source and we are telling you that this is the source.

Return it and move on.

Instead of claiming you did consultancy for 400Million

That is why they should just return it instead of screaming witch hunt.

Let them keep hating and wailing, it's not gonna change a thing. They won't blackmail Baba into soft pedalling on his fight against corruption.

I've never seen a people so smitten with sleaze my entire life.

Whether they like it or not, the fight against corruption will go on and must be won. If killing corruption means killing their source of livelihood, then they can starve for all I care.

Aren't you people ashamed??

I thought you people said there's no such thing as Dasukigate- that it is all a figment of Baba's imagination, and a tool used to "witchunt" his enemies. Now monies are being recovered and you are looking for another rabbit-hole out of which to sneak out.

Tell those you worship who benefited from the fraud to return their loot and stop shielding them by raising unnecessary e-defences for them.
no mind d shameless oloshi ekpa Dasukites!

Nigeria is richer by 100million. The likes Olu Falae and Tony Annie are yet to return their share. Has Yakasi been picked? No. Has he returned is share? No. Is he not a PDP memeber? Yes.

I can see you are still suffering from basic comprehension . . . .Read Oladd post again and stop embarrassing yourself . . .

Did the probe on Dasuki billions start yesterday or it has been on air for months now . . . . .

Can Jafaru still say he wasn't aware of the source to quickly as a patriotic Nigerian return it to the coffers, instead of waiting to be found out before doing the needful if even true . . . .

Jafaru was only a beneficiary of loot. Returning the money is only the proper thing to do. I'd have called for his head if he had behaved like the hardened Dokpesi and others. He took money without knowing the source. It is only proper that he returns it.
Am so surprised reading this from you. 170m isn't 1700; you can't receive such money and not ask about it's source!
Re: Jafaru Isa Returns N100million To EFCC by greggng: 10:55am On Jan 11, 2016
I commend this isa for being an honorable man that doesn't want his name stained. His friend dasuki gave him money to buy a house for him and he never told him the source of the fund. I thank him for following the part of honor instead of wasting our time in court like other criminals who doesn't want to return theirs. However I would want the govt to ascertain the actual amount those who rendered services to dasuki actually deserve. For instance dokpesi rendered services but does that service equal to the amount he got? If the amount paid was too much then he has to refund us the balance after deducting the actual amount.

Did you read the article at all? Was the money meant for his personal pocket?
Jafaru Isah was just an intermediary between Dasuki and a house owner.

The real offender in this DasukiGate is Dasuki. The recipients didn't know the source of the fund and as such it should be enough for them to return whatever they got haven known the fact. Anyone who remains stubborn in returning his own share is the thief who needs to be prosecuted.

To prove them wrong, just ask Mettuh to return 60 or 70% of his own share and let's see if he will be released or not.
