War Against Corruption doesn't in anyway automatically translate to "police brutality". There is war against corruption in almost every civilised country today. You throw waste on the road, you get fined. wrong packing, your car gets towed. your exceed speed limits , your ass is getting fined.

These are all different forms of WAI.
PRYCE:
Nigeria's too evolved for these guys' outdated tactics!

So Buhari and his goons think Nigerians will condone police brutality cos they nat standing in a queue or some sh*t like that?

LOL! We go see...

Buhari / Idiagbon's WAI wasn't civil! The police and the Military had a field day!

So what's the guarantee he's gon do it differently now when history doesn't speak good of him?

And would you blame anyone for thinking... "Hey, There we go again" seeing Buhari didn't do it any other way in the past but by the Sting of the whip?

I agree WAI can be done in different ways but Buhari's was done in one way and that's POLICE BRUTALITY!

If I don't critisizee the government how will they know they are taking g the wrong direction?

When people were criticizing the Budget you guys call it biased now the President saw the need to change it and withdrawa it to be amended , you still foolishly think criticizing govt is wrong.

Grow up Man, this is your country and also will be the country of your children Children

@Your answer: Supporting same ideology of yesteryears , why not improve or bring 21st century method of fighting corruption.

May your life remain same 31yrs from now. Say Amen

A good move, but some people will not like the idea because they feed on corruption, they sleep on corruption and they wake-up on corruption, they marry in corruption and even born in corruption to the extent that their children does not even understand any language except corruption.

The Presidency has denied withdrawing the budget and the senate leader has come out to say that the budget was not withdrawn . Why are you still peddling these lies?

FG denies withdrawing 2016 Budget

By Seun Opejobi on January 5, 2016

Daily Post

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has dismissed speculations that the Federal Government has withdrawn the 2016 Appropriation Bill from the National Assembly for certain “alterations.”

There were rumours that President Muhammadu Buhari had written to the National Assembly requesting to withdraw the N6.08 trillion budget proposal he had presented in December 22, 2015.

But Mohammed while speaking with Daily Trust on Monday said the speculation was a “big lie. There is nothing like that, we don’t know where they are getting that story.”

Also speaking on the matter, the Senate Leader, Mohammed Ali Ndume who spoke with the newspaper said the budget proposal was not withdrawn.

According to Ndume, it was impossible to withdraw the budget, noting that it could only be adjusted during its defence at the National Assembly.

“It is not a document that you can just write and say you are withdrawing it. The budget proposal that has been laid at a joint session of the National Assembly cannot just be withdrawn like that. Budget proposal is not a document that is sacrosanct. You can adjust it and this is why it is before us. During the budget defence, it can be adjusted if need be,” he said.

Ndume disclosed that the budget defence would start as soon as the lawmakers resume from their Christmas and New Year break on January 12.

From the onset of this administration, has the government and their spokesmen not contracting themselves by making statement and denying it if it did not go well, or were you blind then.

'Change begins with me'

That's a good slogan, so let Buhari lead by example. Let 'change begin with him'. Here some suggestions.

Obey the laws the of the land, when people are released by the courts on bail, respect it.

When the Army massacres fellow citizens in cold blood, don't try to justify it.

Look around you at your ministers and other appointees, can you honestly say, before the ALMIGHTY, that there indeed no corrupt ones among them?

Do you finally acknowledge that your benefactor Sani Abacha was corrupt? (After all it's returned Abacha funds that you are trailing Dasuki for)

Only when Buhari himself has imbibed the spirit of 'Change begins with me' will he have the moral standing to demand it of others.
may Allah bless you for telling the truth.

It is unfortunate that you chose to believe lies, gossip and innuendos. Mind you, not many are swayed by your lies and deceits. So if your life depends on it and you must try to misinform the public, then continue. But rest assured, it amounts to waste of your time and resources except if someone is funding this madness of yours.

Do you have any thing to contradict what the Presidency and the senate Leader has said or you would rather wish the lies are true?
There are about 11 Presidential aspirants during the last election and you did not see any of them good enough? You could have also presented yourself.
Being armchair critic simply means you have lost your right to complain. It does not matter whether your candidate wins or loses, but what is important is that you play your own part and satisfy your conscience.
Like I earlier wrote, if you must continue in the line of spreading rumours as fact, so be it. It does not change anything. The naysayers and the current opposition lost the last election and those who voted for change are happy with the outcome.
Whatever motive you have for the obvious attempt at misinformation will be judged by God and if you believe in God, you will be careful as he promised to judge men even based on every idle talks that they engage in.

The point of discussion is this particular budget withdrawal and if you have any instances where the Govt denied earlier statement, you should be able to bring it up.
If you vote for Kowa which you believe had no chance, at least you would have satisfied your conscience. That is what some did and they have no regret about their choice.
I must emphasize that those who voted for change are happy with the outcome and all this attempt to misinform the public is mere waste of time and you may be committing sin in the process like I mentioned earlier.

Sanity in a country of insanity is invariably insanity...change is the worst enemy of the status quo and hence a judiciary that has for ages been mired in ignoble acts of vindicating the guilty and punishing the innocent and defenseless cannot and must not be obeyed by a crusader of change...if punitive measures are advanced against the indiscipline Nigerians have come to get used to and then and then alone can we say we are lovers of change!
Re: Buhari To Relaunch ‘war Against Indiscipline’ by Slikbae: 10:36pm On Jan 11, 2016
Buhari didn't violate no court orders. The order came before fresh charges were laid against the perpetrators. This isn't difficult to understand.

Take for instance, someone stole money, got arrested and was granted "unconditional bail". Unknown to the court or the general pubic, this man was also a rapist or a murderer

note: the court didn't know that he was a rapist or murderer before granting him an unconditional bail.

In this situation, the police has every right to detain him because fresh charges came "after" he was granted unconditional bail.

+++++++++

By the way why a sane person grant unconditional bail to a man that stole $2.1bn ?? Do you know know how much that is? Do you know that millions of people have been displaced by his actions? do you that thousand of people have dies from the consequences of his actions??

How do Nigerians support babarity and waywardness? This is alarming.

If it is going to involve a more subtle social crusade in terms of jingles and strengthening of our institutions to carry our their statutory functions devoid of interference from any fool's body language . . . . then am in full support of it . . . . . .[/quote]As much as I don't support harassment and in human treatment of citizens, we all know that that jingles ain't gonna do sxhxit. The level of lawlessness in our dear country is too alarming. I don't even like Buhari as a person but war against in discipline is a highly welcomed development. If we have proscribed punishments for offenses then law breakers should be ready to face the music. Animal behaviour begets animal treatment, while humanly behaviour begets respect and warm treatment. That's all.
