Few nights ago, I was at a local restaurant destroying a plate of eba with egusi soup when PMB and His wife came in.

They went straight to a table that was next to mine and ordered their meal.

While waiting for the meal, the wife was smiling and assuring PMB that he will enjoy his night.

"But I don't like sneaking out like a common criminal" he protested.

"Relax, we will soon go back and no one will know that we ever left" she said.

I think it was his wife's idea that they do something out of routine and go for a casual dinner at a restaurant that wasn't too luxurious.

Y'know, place where peeps like us dey form boss which our N250 food

Their food was served and PMB started eating immediately. His wife waited small and then asked him if he was enjoying it.

"Oh yes! The food is nice and the place is neat. I am glad I came" he said smiling for the first time.

"I know you will like it" the wife said and started eating her own.

When they finished eating, the owner of the restaurant asked the President if he could speak to the First Lady in private.

PMB's countenance changed immediately like when Nnamdi Kanu was mentioned during media chat.

He looked at the man, then his wife but I have already ducked behind the table before he looked at my direction

"oh Lord my father" I prayed "safe me today and I promise I am never coming here to eat again"

alas he obliged and Aisha had a short conversation with the owner.

"Why was he so interested in talking to you?" He asked her when she came back.

I looked at his face and the anger was gone. Thank God.

"he told me that we were class mates in school and he had been madly in love with me then"

I swear PMB is never coming here to eat again.

"Thank you lord for hearing my prayer but I will still come back because PMB never will" I glorified his name in my heart.

"So if you had married him" PMB continued "you would now be the owner of this lovely restaurant?" he said, standing up to leave.

"No, if I had married him, he would now be the President."

When she said that, I remembered what my grandfather told me.

"Son", he had said "Never let go of a woman that has self confidence because A WOMAN's CONFIDENCE NEVER COMES IN BITS & PIECES"
