are you certain that one only get posted within the three states provided by the prospective corper?

Yes, it's certain you get one of those states. To the best of my own knowledge, you could choose the state where you schooled as part of your preferred state and you have 33.3% chance of being posted there.

HOW NYSC POST PROSPECTIVE CORP MEMBERS TO DIFFERENT STATES. (Take NOTE)

During the course of your final online NYSC Registration which you will be required to produce some information such as

-Your Full name,State of origin,State where You schooled,contact details

-Your active Gmail/Yahoo mail account

-NYSC will also ask You to indicate the states you have visited or being to before.

-NYSC will bring out the 36 states + Fct out during registration while you will be required to select ONLY 3 STATES OF Your choice. i.e the states you would love to serve.
Out of those states,The system will automatically remove (Your state of origin and the state you schooled)

-NYSC expects you to choose three different states which one should be an Eastern state,Western state and Northern state. To balance it.
For instance, If you schooled in Lagos,and you are from the eastern part, NYSC Expects you to chose like OGUN STATE OR OSUN STATE AS FIRST CHOICE,ENUGU OR ABIA OR IMO AS SECOND CHOICE, JOS,ABUJA,KANO,TARABA,KASTINA AS THIRD CHOICE.

-Out of those states you selected be rest assured You will be given one of them.

- If you play smart by choosing the whole three choices within south west,east or north.. NYSC might select a random state you did not even include for You.

-Also Try as much as possible to register your online registration early,so as not to have issues .

Issues like
1)being posted to a northern and unsecured state
2) being a member of stream 2 instead of stream 1.

3) Having issues with printing out your callup letter etc.

All these things have been dealt with extensively in the past but because some persons actually joined us late, Hence the mix up that warrants this update

Yes I decided to visit school for a better assurance of being short listed, so I witnessed that.
Although he later said that the SSANU MEMBERS just wanted a written document containing their approval of NYSC mobilization process before it should continue. To me it's like theÿ just want the effort to get to the National body as per being in solidarity with the strike action but have assigned and treated Nysc issue with special consideration.

So I believe that same scenario would be metted to other institutions except those lazy workers who are always yearning for this kind of strike action

The strike story is also the same thing oooo. The only thing is that they are going off and on.

Forget about doing anything once you know that you once had the cause of submitting the same Jamb number to the school authority in one way or the other so that when they are uploading your info on the NYSC site, they would be able to do so without submitting half Info about you. This is the reason why NSYC usually gives one week for pasting the approved Senate list for correction of possible error of omission or wrong spelling etc.

In our case and according to the UNOFFICIAL TT, the provision is slated for January 25th-31st

But some schools don't paste the list for such corrections

Yes but they wouldn't want to be insulted by Nigerians again after the last Senate threw the Bill out during the second reading and coupled with the fact that it is coming from one of their own now, as per being given credit if eventually passed into law.

And one of their challenges behind the delay is the issue of A15 POP which as been resolved by stating that they will All be paid the remaining 2 months in advance for them to round Off in FEBRUARY INSTEAD OF APRIL

But I guess the issue now is the present strike action embarked upon by SSANU since December 24th following the non-capturing of the University staff school teachers in 2016 National Budget as a result of Federal Government's withdrawal of sponsorship
