They should go to the "creeks" and bundle him as they always do....besides "a new sherif is in town"

Tompolo may not submit himself because dss flouted thesame court orders!

Brilliant writeup!

you should be a columnist for a national newspaper.

Your perspective and insight are worthy of op-ed and regular column in a national daily.

Well done bros.

My brother God will bless your generation .....If you commended Buhari for disobeying the courts, but you are now condemning Tompolo for disobeying the court, then you are worse than an slowpoke.

Buhari has made the disobedience of court order a very fashionable thing to do . Nigerians have started learning from Buhari.

Very soon nobody will obey the courts anymore.

Anarchy is looming
People like you think with your anus,it's easier to type though. My advise read plenty books and learn about reality, government.

Times have changed and Tompolo has gone from petty militant to an established international legit businessman. No appeal to emotion can bully Tompolo to submit himself to courts he has no confidence in.
But is he guilty of what he is being accused of?

And tell me one of the top politicians in Nigeria that hasn't or is not planning to switch parties..

Im not ijaw,I'm not igbo but I'm Nigerian anf going by Mr tonyes analysis I see him more as a credible man..he doesn't argue blindly instead he argues with point.

Pmb wouldn't have been president had it been he didn't join or team up with apc, amaechi wouldn't hv been minister, saraki might not be a Senate president...agbaje might hv been the lagos governor had it been he switched party.

If tonyebarcanista is contesting for any post I will vote for him outrightly if I have the power cos his analysis are always comprehensive and personally I have the impression that he's a credible man...

John Togo is actually a baby militant compared to Tompolo.John Togo was killed by the Nigerian army in conjuction with other MEND commanders
Thanks for telling them.. the military could not get hold of John Togo until Tompolo assisted the military by sending his boys.. Nobody liked John Togo cos he was a killing his own people, rapping women and stealing from even market women..
For those that that know including @tonyebarcanista Tompolo and John Togo fought for different things.. John Togo was an armed robber in the mood of Anini, shina rambo.. not in any way comparable to Tompolo
Re: Court Summon: Why Tompolo Cannot Afford To Dare The State by Nobody: 6:54am On Jan 16, 2016
TonyeBarcanista:
We are all aware of the alleged N13billion land deal scam involving Mr Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, a former Niger Delta militant and some former officials of NIMASSA. It is no news that not only that Tompolo refused to respond to EFCC's investigators summon, he also refused to appear before the court. His refusal to appear forced the judge to slam a warrant of arrest against him, which as expected will be effected by security agents. Though some people choose to assume that he's untouchable. The raw truth is that nobody, including Tompolo is untouchable. It will be in his own interest to appear before the judge and not dare the State. I say this for the following reasons;

1. He Cannot Afford To Make "General" John Togo Mistake:
In 2010 General John Togo assumed that he was powerful and untouchable. He dared the government of Jonathan that was pressing on him to surrender to the federal government. He had received amnesty in 2009 under Yar'adua but went to the Creek when Jonathan took over power because "he was not having access to the villa". The military went after him, bombed his camp and innocent people of communities in Warri, Delta state. The Press were "hailing him" and elevating him to a deity status. Sahara Reporters December 28, 2010 report tagged him "The New Face of Niger Delta Insurgency" and even granted him phone interview. However, in May 2011, just 5months after his interview, it was announced that Togo has been killed by military strike in his camp and his body buried by his footsoldiers. It was also reported that he ordered his boys to surrender at the point of death. The military however exhumed his body and handed the corpse to his family for burial.

The "deified" Togo that thought he was untouchable met his untimely death.
www.vanguardngr.com/2011/07/24/ndlf-confirms-togos-death/

2. He Can't Afford To Repeat His 2009 Mistake:
In 2009 Tompolo as the leader of a militant group refused to accept amnesty and went on to attack oil installation. The military went against him bombing Gbaramatu Kingdom and villages in his Warri South West LGA "stronghold" including Kolokoloama, Okarankoko, Kurutie, and Oporoza. His so called "dreaded" Camp 5 was raized and taken over while he and his boys fled. With more bombing by the army under Yar'adua/GEJ, it was only a matter of time before he'd have been killed or captured. But, he surrendered 24hours before the amnesty deadline on October 2009. The surrender and repentance saved his life. Unfortunately, more than 300 people was killed and houses razed to ashes. It will amount to folly for Tompolo to repeat the event of 2009.

3. He Cannot Afford To Bring Death on Innocent Niger Deltans:
The action of Tompolo led to the death of over 300 majority Ijaws, and more than 3000 displaced in 2009. Whereas the dead are gone and the displaced are yet to recover, Tompolo grew into a billionaire(thanks to government's patronage). Any attack on security official by his boys will mean a declaration of war against the State, which will lead to loss of lives and properties of innocent people(like it was in 2009) and Tompolo will not escape it. The innocent won't continue to pay the price for what they have no hand in. We can also recall that the feeling of invincibility led to the death of both the innocent and the criminals in Odi, Bayelsa state in 1999.

4. Nobody is Invincible or Immortal:
As "weak" as Goodluck Jonathan was, he went after Okah and put him in prison. He also went after the "dreaded" General John Togo and sent him to his grave. How much more a determined President Muhammadu Buhari? He should also be aware that even the Great Isaac Adaka Boro that was fighting a legitimate struggle had to surrender to the FG after 12 days. How much more him that is being called to respond to criminal allegation. He should allow himself to be used as an experiment by the military.

It will be in the interest of Mr Tompolo to submit himself to court and avoid being arrested. If he's arrested, it will be very tough for him to obtain bail order. He shouldn't dare the State nor listen to the voices of sycophants and praise singers that are deifying him. Non of these sycophants' life is at stake. He is my brother as an Ijawman, and should yield to voice of reasoning.

May God Bless Us All and Bless Nigeria
. People are gradually getting brain now, nobody want to waste his life for selfish individual. Tompolo for his best interest sud not summit himself but beg FG. i could remember when OPC was OPC GANI ADAM was proven invincible at the end what ends him what prison.

Believe me, I do share your fears also but democracy is what it is. We definitely can't eat our cake and have it. These guys may have stolen or misappropriated our money but it is not in our place to declare them guilty if a competent court doesn't declare them so.
I tell you, the way these people destroy evidences and make mockery of our judiciary because of their ill-gotten wealth is disturbing, they need iron hand with strong institution to fight them. Believe me, these people have turned our laws to cobwebs that catch small flies but unable to stop elephants(them).
Remember JAMES IBORI ??
Our judiciary has, to a large extent, turned toothless. the bar and the bench have been infiltrated by money bags...
I am very worried about the future of the youths by the way these criminals loot our commonwealths, do you know how many people have died due to inadequate provision of infrastructures because the money meant for such has been embezzled? I personally wish that death sentence should be passed on looters, but is that in our constitution?...
I am seriously enraged with our looting leaders cheaters angry

Too much of praise can be for ur downfall. Buhari is too praised for being righteous. He has already being accussed of defnding Abacha's loot.
The US might have something ill for this government hence they donate expired gun ships.
Who knows if Tompolo is on the backing of the US.

Th same useless Nigerian Judiciary that found Ibori innocent is the same giving dubious bails to the lower of our commonwealth and some sycophants ar screaming "rule of law" instead of "rule of bought injunctions".

Why was. Ibori not given bail in UK be was finally convicted or there is no rule of there?
