I don't have root access, the only thing I noticed was that I can't boot to recovery normally unless I go through adb tools on pc...and when I clicked on update.zip, all I get is installation aborted....am tied of all this, maybe I should just wait for the ota update

This was the same issue I had... I flashed my phone and I could not change imei so I had to go back yo Android one...

For those who are having error based on your build number, this is the link to the last OTA update that changes Build Number to 20121208...

Once downloaded you can install through recovery. Rename as Update.zip and place in the root of your Sd Card (not in a folder) and update via SD CARD... after installation it will load 112 Apps then go to Settings - about - software update. check for update and YAGA!!!! Your marshmallow OTA comes up...
