On January 9, former governor of old Anambra state, Chief Jim Nwobodo re-wedded at the Catholic Bishops Court, Enugu. A thanksgiving mass took place on the 10th at the Holy Ghost Catholic Cathedral and lavish reception sponsored by the Enugu State governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi followed at the governors lodge.
The ceremony bought under one roof, chieftains of the People's Democratic Party and the All progressive Congress where the celebrant defected to shortly before his wedding. Dignitaries that attended the event include; Senator Gil Nnaji, Senator Chuka Utazi, Former Minister of Power, Prof. Barth Nnaji, Enugu State APC Chairman, Dr Ben Nwoye, and his PDP counterpart, Chief Ikeji Asogwa, Commissioner for Information, Godwin Udeuhele, APC Governor candidate, Okey Ezea, among others.
