I find it hard to believe that he wasnt aware of this, but I dont know how he manages his business ventures. Its possible that he designated this to various MDs and is only interested in the end of year financials. He could be getting quarterly financials which 'mask' the fact that workers were not getting paid.

I almost cried when I learnt he bought Newswatch. One of the best news magazines in Africa brought to disrepute by a rich guy with no passion for journalism. I miss Dan Agbese, Ray Ekpu, Etim Anim, Soji Akinrinade, Ebere Onwudiwe, etc.

I was following the love transmission of the event and here are my thoughts:

First Dr Jimoh Ibrahim is a very smart man, the way he delivered the lectures, his analysis of the Chinese economy as a model for Nigeria's development is sterling.

Secondly, I think his decision on the sack of the news magazine MD is a calm response to a monumental embarrassment. The News watch managers couldn't keep their houses in order and that's a breach to their titles as managers in the first place.

But I beg to ask.....How did those fellows gain entry to the venue in the first place?

I enjoyed every bit of that event and I simply wish I could follow them all the way to Kenya for the next conference......

Dr Jimoh has a lot in his head, no wonder he is commanding a successful conglomerate....

As the director, he definitely can't deny not knowing some of his staffs are being owed up to 13 months salary. That's quite harsh. He's got stuffs in his head but he's not the person doing the dirty jobs. Haba, make these CEOs get conscience nah
