Seriously you no read anything oooo but to answer you and not to spoonfed you.

3.) Certify copy of your certificate means you will take the original certificate with one photocopy to either the High Court in your state or the Germany Embassy.
Note: they will stamp the photocopy making it same as the original that can be accepted in any school outside Nigeria.

2. That depends on school, some will wait till after application deadline especially if they have plenty applicant while some will issues admission letter before the deadline but People from the named school will answer you better.

Let me put in my 2cents...

1. I would like to know whether my recommendation should include the referee's questionnaire only or both the recommendation letter and the questionnaire?

Most schools only require the letter of recommendation but where there is a questionnaire involved, you would have to look at the list of requirements properly for guidance because some schools just require the signed questionnaires but if the requirement states that separate letters of recommendation should accompany the questionnaires, then so be it.

2. I would also want to knw will the university wait after May(which the application deadline) to give one an offer or reject letter?

I may not be the best authority here as Freiburg isn't my city but in most cases the schools take a few weeks after the deadline to decide before offers are sent out unless they have a rolling admission policy wherein applications are evaluated as they come in and offers given.

3. What does an certified copy of certificates means?

In simple terms: make photocopies of your original documents. Take those copies to either the German consulate in Lagos or any High court and get a notary public to stamp and seal those copies. These stamped and sealed copies have now become certified copies of your certificates which you will send as part of your application package.

No, It is not a stereo-type. Germans are actually known to be very, very punctual. In fact, they are punctual to a fault.
And do not base your consideration on you sending emails to professors since August. Professors receive too many mails than they can physically reply to. An average professor from a reputed institution receives at least 20 emails daily (these included mails from current students, prospective applicants, research fellows, assistants and the list goes on). This is not some survey done but you'd agree if you get the chance to look over your professor's shoulder, one day, while checking his mailbox.
It's not absurd not to hear from some professors for a very long time - mainly the reason why most of them maintain a personal page on the University website and even have a FAQ section.

I need help cos i'm a little confused here. I have a cgpa of 2.7 and my cgpa on the German scale according to the formula on this thread is 2.725. So I contacted Leibniz Universität Hannover to discuss my chances of securing a place for masters. I was asked to send a copy of my transcript which I forwarded through email and I was told that my cgpa corresponds to a 2.3 on the German scale. So please, I need more enlightenment on calculating this stuff.

I think the calculation was done using 4 as the maximum pass grade and 1 as the lowest because that will give a 2.3. This can be clarified by emailing them (if it is not clear from your transcript) that 5 is the maximum passing grade in your school.

If yes, then it seems you didn't read carefully........Cos, it was clearly stated that on the questionnaire that your referee should attach his recommendation letter to the questionnaire and send it back to you or send it directly to them.

Well, apply to send it to your place of work or any office you have someone in stating it is for employment purposes so of course you address it to your contact and pay to have it sent via courier. Pick it up from the person, make copies, certify the copies and viola. case dismissed.
