I am a Nigerian-British business personality trying to launch a new product in Nigeria, I had an account with Ozbulk SMS and paid 10K to get some text credit, but the gentleman refuse to take my call or reply my message after he go the money, please nairalanda, help me. I should not regret doing business with my own people.

I also send messages to a couple of his resellers hoping they can help but no update yet.

I was about to Launch a 40M naira + project (africa-wide) and was planning to use their services for verification and marketing, the funny part of the matter is, I already briefed him that I have a business opps for him, I am at least happy I did pay him 1M and then this happen.

I'll still address this case though. My escalation is systemic and the next is efcc, since I am not the first person to experience this; as I can now see on nairaland.

Give him 24 hours to deliver and if he doesn't, look for someone else or just get your own portal.

You have been defrauded once and you are still looking for recommendation from strangers. I think you are too trusting, do your own research, visit websites and read testimonials, contact them and get a third party in real life to help assess the risk involved should you decide to purchase from one.

There is a learning curve in every business.

I have failed in the past.

Been using them for 2 Months now. You can Google reviews about them. Their SMS http api is currently integrated on our website for sending auto SMS to our customers who make purchases. They've been in the business for long, you're in safe hands.
Only disadvantage is, their price is quite higher compared to the rest

Irrespective of any affiliations or promotion, if I was looking to purchase anything from an online business here are the things I will look out for.
1. Their online business - How long have they been on the internet doing business? WhoIs records for example [url]whois.domaintools.com/ozbulksms.com[/url]

2. Their social media presence - When last did they post on social media? Facebook, Twitter, etc. What are people saying to and about them? Any blog posts about their business, third party references, etc.

3. Their personnel. Can you find any good reference to at least one person promoting their business?

That's the most basic check to make and this does not cost you a single kobo from your pocket.
You can choose to call their contact phone numbers and email addresses as well to be very sure of who you are about to do business with.

He (OZBULK SMS) has finally credited my account, but I think I still have to leave them. This heartache on N10K is too much, if it is N10M I dont know how long it will take to credit my account.
