Dahveydson:

Learn to take your own advice.

You open a chatroom, got disappointed with the discussion, instead of trying to make it right or making mountain out of mole hill, why not ignore or find the nearest exit outta the chatroom without saying zilch.
Well said.
I've heard the opportunity to relate with people in all aspects of life. The fact that he graduated with 3rd class or he's written English is poor doesn't warrant you bringing up the discussion here just to ridicule him. I believe in the school of thought that no one is perfect and as such everyone (you inclusive) have limitations which may not cut across mode of expression.
Believe me, I'm not writing this out of sentiment but the truth has to be told. He graduated with third class, you probably graduated with 2:1 or first class. He studied sociology, you probably studied one of the top notch courses. He's spoken English is awful, you on the other hand are flawless. It is needless to say you are better than him interm of accomplishments since both of you are still dancing across the circle of labour market. Everyone has got a purpose in life. The extent of your education has got nothing to do with how successful you'll eventually become. Bill gate was a drop out at Harvard, yet he's ranked as one of the richest. Abrahamovic isn't the best when it comes to education, yet he has people working for him. Dangote was an illiterate yet thousands graduates keep Killing themselves to get on his payroll.

This isn't beef, it just reality. The world has evolved

Hi I should probably just let you both continue with your discussion, but pardon my intrusion.

I think you are missing the point. There is a huge difference between discussing someone and ridiculing the individual.
Nobody has ridiculed the guy... Nobody has said that his third class degree dooms him to a failed life.

Check back the context under which the guy was discussed.

The issue being discussed is not that he had a third class (because we are all aware that even illiterate can still become employers of labour, that's the way the world is)

The issue here is the young man's attitude discussed under three main headings
His reason for having a third class
I'm sure even you can see that his given reason is flimsy. A person with a determined attitude wld have done better than that excuse

His presentation of self
You know that feeling you get when you see a writeup from an intelligent person (regardless of their graduating grade), I'm sure that even you could not feel that vibe from the guy's thread. One doesn't need a first class grade in order to present himself well (what we refer to as packaging cheesy)

His reaction to advice
Check back that thread and see his response to Dahveydson's comment. It sounded like he felt what Dahve had said was to be disregarded which is amplified by the fact that he didn't bother making the needed changes.

All those third class people you know that are great successes today, check them out, they didn't have this kind of attitude

Just remember to note that nobody ridiculed the guy... Advice was given which was disregarded.... Obvious facts were stated
