@maureensylvia, cramps happen alot in preg. So far it's not painful and increasing in intensity. The protocol i know of for rhesus negative mothers here is that they are given rhogam immediately after delivery.
@proudmum38, i find it hard to believe a full grown woman will accept to be treated this way. As in seize phone. Hmmh! God abeg o! It's like she's from a poor background married to a rich family. Is there no business centre around her. Can't she go to her mum's place. As a Ftm, she needs good support. I wonder how people allow their inlaws have this much control over their live. O di egwu o!

I was diagnosed with fibroids (which have given me no issues apart from the odd cramp) before I got married. It didn't delay conception or affect my pregnancy in anyway.

Mine wasn't blocking my cervix and I was told I would get vaginal delivery. I was also so sure I would get a V-birth because I had checked my scan results with different doctors and I kept on bugging my midwife to refer me to senior consultant gynaecologist (which she did) and they had all assured me the fibroid wasn't an issue. In fact by my 7th month, the fibroids weren't visible on the scan.

However, during labour, my baby got distressed and I had to do an emergency c-section. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fibroids.

So just relax, pray and enjoy your 9 months journey and don't stress yourself with the fibroids. All that matters is you and the baby alive and well.

Sounds like colic. Get 'infacol'. It's very effective.

I won't go with gripe water. I think there's too much fake in the market (that is the naija version) and the naija version also contains alcohol. The U.K. version has no alcohol but it's been branded 'useless and ineffective ' by docs and midwives

If she's nauseous, get ginger biscuits and munch away regularly doing the day.

She's just 22 n not d type dat like trouble at all...her fone was stolen wen she went 2 take her bathe n she was home alone wit mil...she doesn't wnt 2 involve her parents cos according 2 her 'her husby wil b disapointed'...she can't tell her husby anythin as her mil monitors her evry move...she cooks 4 12pple 2ce daily...she had masive tear during deliver cos her baby weighed 4.5 kg n she's stil feelin pains down thr at 2months after delivery...her stress started wen her lo was barely a wk...she's not alowed 2 go out except market...

Ok. I ran into a frnd of mine who narrated her ordeal in d hands of her Mil 2me ehn,I was dombfounded. She gave birth 2months ago n was moved 2 her Pil's place cos her husby was not around....She said her mil practically turned her into a maid. She's d 1 dat washes her baby's clothes from day 1 till date,she started bathing her baby wen d baby was 9days old (ftm o).She cooked 4d whole house,take care of her lo alone,sweeps evryday if she fails 2 sweep wahala go burst.d worst of it all is dat her mil had ceased her fone n she cannot reach her husby.D husby only reaches her thru her mil's fone, d lie is 'wifey lost her fone' she can't even reach her parents....I don't knw wat 2 tell her or how 2 say it as she was crying bitterly. Proudmum, my advice for ur friend is just to find a way to get across to her hubby and suggest that she moves out. She can tell him she is comfortable enough to stay alone with the child, this way she can avoid the issues arising. I want to believe they are legally married so it isn't the case of the in laws just taking advantage of her.

My dear, we are in d same boat I guess. Although don't understand what u mean by special treatment, bt had to take an injection (rhogam) immediately after delivery.

U will have to go to a big pharmacy, make payment and they wil keep it for u until delivery.

In 2014, got it for 17,500 from Ebus Pharmacy, paid two weeks b4 my EDD and dh picked it on my delivery day, now its 23,800.
