Nairalanders, I need your advice on how much it will take me to setup a very decent barbing salon? Please your honest advice is welcome

With a female barber: 50k

With a male stylist: 105k.

1. Mirror - 5k
1 Three seater for waiting customers - 10k
1 panasonic dvd player with speakers - 10k

The remaining change will buy you comb, brush, after shave etc.

shop rent- 90k... furnishing of the shop- 50k- barbing equipments- 80k. The remaining 10k use am sow seed in anybody's life.

for a decent saloon, where you can charge your customers from #250-300naira per hair cut, you need to set it up with at least 150k depending on your location.

See below the following items needed;
- Barbing Chairs(ROTATING) X 1 - 12k;
-Super Taper clippers X 2(this is the most preferable for commercial barbing) - 20K;
- Shaving Powder and After-Shave Spray with other accessories like Cover Clothes,hair brushes,etc - 8k;
- Generator - 15k;
-Sound System and 20" Television - 40k;
- Waiting Chairs (3-IN-1) - 10K;
- Sterlizer - 6.5k;
- ToweL Warmer - 10k;
You will need to entertainment like GoTv or Metro to keep your customers comfortable while they wait for their turn....

Barbing saloon business is lucrative and very profitable when done intelligently. Depending on the class the money for a start up is not huge.

Have you ever taken stock of the number of people that barber hair everyday? Some barbing saloon charges #200, #500... some go as far as charging #1,500 per person. It all depends on location.

Assuming they have about 20 patronizers in a day, do your maths.....
