Seriously, I don't know if am the only one who finds the above expression annoying. When a girlfriend living far away calls and will always ask- 'have you eaten'? Like say if u say no, she go carry food come give you. I wonder if she wants to show affection or care by the question but it annoys me. Pls who feels this way about it or any other frequently used expressions?

Abeg, if a guy u love doesn't ask u that, u will even ask him why he didn't. That's wah we call love, u stay long on phone talking about nothing, or inconsequential thing and it makes one happy.






It's only annoying coming from a toaster that u don't have feelings for, or someone that don't mean a thing to u

I dont find it annoying cause I ask too...

I don't like it either but when there is nothing to say ,that is the only thing available

I decided to paraphrase, and so far they're not complaining.. Thing is, they wouldn't tell me if the new way is annoying.

of course thats why i had to take permision before i asked...plus its not a regular for me...i wont come and give u food if u havent eaten so why ask
