The exact reason for the suspension is not stated in the post. We know how strongheaded these student union people can be. Most times they forget that they're answerable to the school authorities. Hope they won't go destroying structures o.It's better they appeal the suspension and reach an agreement.

I don't know about your school. but on my first day as an undergraduate, i was given a handbook on the school rules and the consequences of some offence..

I'm sure your school has a similar handbook.. And If you consult this handbook, you'll realize that anything short of rustication is actually a lenient penalty

I'm not gonna argue with you sir.. But I understand student unionism and I know it doesn't include assaulting a Professor..

NANS... This is d time to speak and show you still exist. Organise massive protests in OAU and dnt relent.

Obafemi Awolowo University suspend Student union leaders (The president, General Secretary and PRO) 6 semesters and 4semesters respectively, this suspension is premised on the saga between the Students' Union and Prof Y. K Yusuf of English language department. Nevertheless considering the saga, it is still not a strong justification to suspend Union leaders, that only have two months away from concluding their programme.

If you know someone that knows someone closer to someone that knows someone closer to someone that can help these students, their stay on campus is about to be elongated if the suspension stands. Help us say no to victimization of Union leaders.

Those boys deserve it. In the past, when Students' Union guys wanted to pass information in a lecture theatre, they asked the lecturer for permission. Where he declined, they walked away.

In as much as i pity these students, they have forgotten with whom they are dealing with, the current administration is a very ruthless one...even we staff already know that they won't hesitate to deal ruthlessly with anyone giving them headaches.
since last july when we kept watch at the road 1 gate preventing free movement with regards to our earned allowances and at the end we still lost the battle,it was then i knew that its better to just suffer in silence and hope for the best.
Just a few days ago the corper doctors in the health centre were told that they would no longer be paid salaries and were told to relocate if they so desire, currently the number of doctors has reduced by more that 16 with respect to this situation, this means longer waiting time to see a single doctor on duty instead of two... a lot is going now which i 'd rather not expose here but be on the look out for interesting developments in days ahead..

This is a very good development. Student union leaders should have applied wisdom on issues with the school management. Bunch of time wasters. Yeye boys
