Wike cannot win Rivers State. Party is not the issue here but tribe. If PDP fields Ogoni or Riverine candidate they could win as people have sympathy for them but if they field upland they lose. The only people supporting Wike now are non-indigenous people mostly Igbos and a few Ikwerre villages based on sentiments of being directly related to Wike. Igbos will not be allowed to determine who governs Rivers State.

Dakuku (a defactor contestant for Ameachi) cannot win any election in Rivers State whether riverine or not, sorry! This idea of tribe is a big farce, wait and see

my brother what of waste mgt, security, power supply, job creation, scholarship award/education, investments. He did not even create those roads you mentioned.. no flyover/overhead bridge. What is happening now in rivers state is what will happen eventually in ondo and ekiti state when elections are near because mimiko has back-stabbed the people and fayose popularity is dwindling by day based on some recent discoveries. Time will tell.

The Rivers State Elders and Leaders Council has
reiterated its support for a governorship candidate from
riverine area to succeed Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
The elders said the next governor of the state should
come from the coastal area, the people of the state would
vote for President Goodluck Jonathan on March 28.
The council’s coordinator, Chief Albert Horsfall, told
journalists on Friday in Port Harcourt that elders’
decision was based on their interest in the promotion of
equity, justice and fair play.


Horsfall explained that the people of the state would not
abandon the clamour for a riverine governorship
candidate irrespective of political affiliation.


He said, “I would like to repeat that Rivers Elders and
Leaders Council is not a political party and does not
support any political party and not against anyone.
“Our interest is to uphold at any given moment the
interest of Rivers people and our state so that its integrity
and the integrity of its people as a component and
integral part of this nation will be respected,
acknowledged and recognised.


“At our inaugural meeting in September of 2014, we
agreed that the Rivers State Elders and Leaders Council
will remain neutral of any partisan political group in
order to maintain our respect and integrity.”

U dont just come on NL to say rivers state is only for pdp. Whose mouthpiece are u? Are u the one to vote the higher percentage? Politics is a game of numbers. Anything can happen at the last moment. Do u think Wike is at peace with this development? The same way they said PMB can not defeat incubency. Then why dont wait till after the election in rivers to see things for urself rather than assumptions.

fayose has at least been splendid so far but can't say about his position in ekiti state but from the few months I spent in Ondo state, I can attest to the fact that mimiko is a wicked fellow and is hated by his people. I don't see him winning anything in that state.

How can it change voters apathy towards Amaechi and APC in Rivers State,uno na ndo afu onwa,staying in Lagos and seeing what is happening in Rivers, una never tire for this Rivers matter,after bayelsa poll,Rivers state is PDP compliance since 1999 AD,una fit go try luck for Edo state, per say una oshi-ole mouth diarrhea fit wan try magic,but Rivers wey I dey so,MBA
