Now that we have been advised against drinking garri soaked in cold water, the worst hit are unarguably the students. Can we talk about other good, viable and quick alternatives to lessen this 'harsh' reality brought by 'Lassa rats'??

What about...
Since garri prepared with hot water is still safe, then subjecting the dry garri to some high temperature and then cool thereafter is effectively safe..

Step 1: Get your garri from Iyawo down the street
Step 2: Get a frying pan and 'refry' the garri while stirring properly
Step 3: Air the garri for a short while to cool
Step 4: Get an air-tight container to store your 'heated' or 'refried' garri
Step 5: Go get your garri and use with cold water as before

Sane?

Wouldn't be a bad idea if it works.

They did not ban you guys from drinking garri...... You can refry your garri before drinking. With that, you will kill any lassa rats urine tongue deposited in the garri

Good luck all but this method is not for everybody especially the lazy ones undecided

thats what our doctors told us.

Btw, we drink garri with cold water down here. Not everybody has access to internet to read this trash about garri.. We drink it without the fear of lassa fever or whatsoever
