Na wah o..

Is this how low we have fallen?

I heard of a Nigerian who invented glasses that can see Cancer cells in blood and yet we are here celebrating this fuckery.

Respect to the guy but there is nothing ingenious about his creation. He uses motorcycle engines to make that contraption. The only real genius in his work is the body he crafts to cover the engine underneath.

Send the kid off to a technical school to learn how to fix engines or panel beating but please let's stop acting like this nigga just found the cure for cancer.

I would rather the government look to our universities. Every year, students from across the length and breath of this nation come up with some rather brilliant project work for the design or optimization of something and after the students get their marks, those project work end up in the archives. How about we start investing in Nigerians with real and actual potentials rather than continue with this kind of fuckery.

Respect to the boy, but did we have to bring the State Government into this shiit? Like seriously!
Nonsense, what have you created since when you were born other than making senseless and useless posts on nairaland

Some people may say what the guy did was crap, but the exciting thing about this is that when someone achieves something with scraps how much do you think he will achieve when he is given more education and better tools at his disposal?

You are the worst type of a critic, it is obvious u can not even be able to produce a spoke, but u are busy criticising someone's effort. Shame on you. Stop complaining get a life. No one is interested in your depressed, negative infected state of mind, because it amount to nothing in our society. Sorry I have to be harsh on u, stop leaving in delusion, but appreciate things and people's effort no matter how small it is only then ur life will have a meaning.

Good development for them in the North. The government must invest in Nigerians with an iota of ideas to create/make/produce just about anything.

But I must confess, technology and development has gone past this level therefore, Nigerians engaged in this kind of stuff must come up with ideas and technology never seen before.

Do you think if this guy starts to make his own car which is nothing different from what is being made at the moment, foreign countries will buy it when Toyota, Benz, etc. are still king in the market.

Let us create things that haven't been done before.
for how long can we continue to depend on their own?

all I was saying is dat, we can do better technologically if der cud be. more university research with govt support...we should be inventing engines dt run on water.....I later admitted the guy tried and did a good job...no mind my outburst earlier

We can't continue to depend on them but we will continue to depend on them until we do something different from what they have done.

Even if we stop depending on them and we start to produce our own, its like a farmer practising subsistence farming. Only producing for himself and his family. Will he eat only his produce alone? Also in a case his goods are not superior to others outside, who will buy it then?

Take for example will the Japanese leave Toyota/Nissan or the Americans will leave Ford/Chevrolet or the Germans will leave Mercedes Benz/Audi or Koreans will leave Kia/Hyundai all with very solid track record and purchase Innoson? I doubt they ever will. Even the owner of Innoson, has a german and japanese product in his garage.

What I'm trying to say is that can we make better cars than the whites? The truth is we can't. They own the technology and we are just assembling here. Ask Innoson. His is technology his? No! He copied it from the whites.

Finally, my point is - let us Blacks/Nigerians produce something never seen before e.g like a coach that disappears or takes you to your destination faster than a car/plane/train or an engine that runs on water. Until then will we say we have truly done something.
