Anyways I found the solution. Got into this mess yesterday myself. Contacts not properly synced and my contacts no longer identifiable.

It's simple.
Go to settings. Then accounts. Log outta your Google account and log back in.

Voilà!

Works like magic.
Y'all owe me one.

u really try for d info. even though not all my contacts do display names but almost 96% names r now being displayed either when calling or receiving. thanks really. it works like magic

remove ur Google acct and reactivate it again. ur contacts will start showing names.

. if your contacts were initially on your sim card, just go to your contact app, go to settings and click on import/export from sim card, it will display all of your contacts

I did my dear, but it is the same thing. When I recieve or make calls, the names do not appear. I regret installing this update

My Infinix Hot2 Phone picks calls by itself automatically and I have tried resolving it within the settings without success.

Hey guys. Since The Mm update, my phone doesn't ring out. Tried the pre-installed ring tones, tried my own media file. Still no sound. Volume is set to the loudest, nothing still. Any ideas?

For 3, in Marshmallow, there is something called deep sleep or so, where the phone is put into a state of "comma", in order to save more juice. You don't have to tap power button thrice before it responds, once is enough. But the duration of it should be less than 3 seconds...why it takes that long or even goes off for some guys, I can't tell...maybe other factors like ram usage and all.

For 1, there's no lag when I go to my gallery, though I use QuicPic ; WhatsApp, never experience a need to force stop...been all smooth!

For 6, this is the most frustrating of all bug. It only recognizes numbers associated on your gmail account. This is stupid!

I also noticed battery drains faster, and charging is slow and sometimes irregular display of battery percentage.

Your downloads are forced to save in phone memory. And yet the option in settings is available, but for show.

Perhaps my most noticeable difference is the upgrade of Google Now, simply say 'OK Google' and see the magic

Also, a new way to deal with highlighted words. You now have floating menu bar, where you have copy, paste and cut, and also can translate, check wordweb or wikipedia.

My phone is the 2gb RAM variant with 3000mAh battey

that's no problem go to options and import contacts from sim card finish your numbers are back.

Please I need someone to explain to me why my hot2 display looks faded.the other hot 2 I have seen has more colored display is it factory or what? I got mine 4 days after its launch in August.pls I need to know if its hardware or software and what's the work around thank you.

Go to your settings, then to accessibility and click on high contrast text (experimental) that's all. wink

instead of formatting your phone to get the OTA just go to app in settings and clear data then go back and click check for updates

The new update as not been push to my phone, just check on system update yesterday and I saw the one of 34meg, I did the upgrade and notice some nice changes, I am curious about the Mm and I don't wanna do it manually, pls what can I do?

I am in the same mess my guy. I can't change the imei no of my phone after upgrading to 6.0 and reseting it. Been searching online for tips but can't find any.

By login out of Google Account I guess u mean removing the account? My phone is warning me that if I do so I will lose my contacts, messages and all.

Mawnin fams!... I've been having an ish with my 3G since I flashed my infinix hot2.. Anytym I put it on 3G only... It doesn't bring any network, sumtymz it even affects the sim2 by erasing the sim2 network too... Plz fams....wotz the way out

If you are experiencing a situation where calls coming in or going out of your phone do not display names even though you have the contacts in your phone or sim or Gmail account then the solution is simply to go and remove the Google accounts on your phone. Go to settings-accounts-google. It will give you a warning but accept it, it's not a dangerous process. After a couple of minutes, log the accounts back in. After some minutes check your call log, you'll discover that the names of contacts are displaying now, and they'll display when you make out or receive calls.

Now note that this doesn't solve the problem of your internal memory being inaccessible. The best advice is not to have data in your internal memory before the MM update, in other words, you should have your data in an SD card. But if you're experiencing this problem, I might have a solution for you. Get an SD card and insert in your phone. Go to storage and try and format the card. It will bring up two options. To format as a portable sd card or as internal memory. Choose format as internal memory, it will pop up some warning, accept them. Then after the process, it will ask you if to migrate the data in your internal memory to your new SD card internal memory, accept. After that you'll notice that all your data are now in the SD card you inserted.

If you don't get asked to migrate then you can manually go to storage internal memory-options and then migrate. Your data will still get migrated to your SD card.

This internal memory issue with MM is not actually a bug. It's one of the new features of MM. It just happens that a lot of us don't understand the purpose and it doesn't sit well with us. Most of the issues we experience with MM are very resolvable issues if you can take time and search through the Web.

The only issue I'm experiencing with this latest February patch of MM is that it has seriously affected my battery life. Like my battery life has been drastically affected. My phone hardly lasts two hours now with normal usage. I suspect it's a bug and I hope the next update will fix that. I've already sent them a mail though.
