even the referee no try. Wasted a lot of time and no much extra time to compensate.
Yeah good observations but the fact is if we were given 20 extra minutes we cant score.

Which tactical play? The one he executed by subbing the best player on the pitch towards the end of the first half? Please tell me something I don't know
I was a little surprised at that. A little. I noticed that while playing, subbed player had like 3 chances where if he had taken better decision, probably would have been a goal. Most of them were where he decided to go alone and take a shot instead of passing to a better placed player. I also saw the other players complain to him like twice. ( the third was from the N0.9 but I saw he was in an offside position anyways, so it would be useless passing to him).

So apart from unknown injuries, I wasn't totally happy with him even though he seemed like the most active on the pitch. He was like aggrey in the first half against Niger lots of input, little intelligent output.

It's been very poor from Oliseh. I will ve to say this job has come too early for him. That change just before the break was poor decision making. Looks impulsive to me. It will be tough for him to come out this kind of performance stronger given the start he's had. The whole super eagles thing is a sad one. Guinea thoroughly deserve their win. It's hard to fathom where we go from here.

Oliseh and Keshi are both useless, Siasia is manageable but we need a thorough foreign coach not all this man know man coaches, oliseh has never coached any team in his life our national team is his first experience,.

Salisu yusuf his assistant is by far better than him at least he was Kano pillars and Enyimba coach where he won the league on two occasions
You spoke my mind.... This Oliseh experiment is already a failed project. NFF should start looking for a good coach because Oliseh doesn't seem to know what he's doing.

Sir, which business? You mean Adeniji that scored 16 goals to become the second highest goal scorer in the NPFL last season should train his skill?

Sir, pls tell the coach to go train is skill and learn how to select players before coming to coach here.

He needs to train his skills. His positional awareness is poor. This isn't the Nigerian league where people won't or are not talented enough to keep you offside. He fell for that trap far too many times.

His sense of anticipation should also be worked on. Infact all the players are poor in this area.

I agree with you here but the question still remains "who takes responsibility for this defeat and elimination from this tournament "? Ultimately it all boils down to Oliseh's inability to do his homework well

Oliseh just want to sabotage the work of we the supporters of the NPFL by making
these players look ordinary so that those who never see anything good about the
league will have something negative to say. Oliseh too bad. You removed Usman who
was the heart of the team. What a coach.

I still wonder how Usman was not good enough to start the game against Niger. Usman and Chikatara came in as subs and the game turned around.

In this game, Oliseh chose to leave Chikatara on the bench and gave Adeniji so much time when he offered nothing. He also pulled off Usman the best player very early.

bros if you follow the league u will know that nanso edo is better than Etim, Akas chima has no business in that team, this match showed that it's either oliseh is not a good coach or he just wanted to sabotage the effort of us the promoter of the league

I would still retain oliseh though. We could see that he actually had a plan ( even though executed very poorly by the players); he wanted to do a mourinho. Draw them in and counter. It was a wrong plan however.

In the first match one could see a clear tactical play. I've observed that our players ( and any player anywhere) usually lose focus and tactical awareness more easily when under pressure. They weren't under much pressure in the first game so they followed the plan. But the more the pressure came in this match, the more they lost their composure on and off the ball.

Granted oliseh made a wrong tactical plan. But at least I could see the plan. And I could also easily say that many of the players were not fit physically, technically and mentally to carry out the plan.

From Oliseh's days at Super Sports, I noticed he aligns so much With Mourinho. That is why he felt he could walk into the Super Eagles and Fly.

At least he will know it takes a lot to achieve what Keshi did.

His approach in this game was wrong. We played better when we went to win. If we came with a winning mindset, we would have come out successful.

That is why Oliseh's inexperience is his biggest hindrance.

I say we retain him. At least he knows what Coach Keshi aka Big Boss was doing was not beans.

The painful part is that this tournament is a perfect ground to expose our talents. I agree with you that a local league coach should handle the next team.

The NFF should take this tournament seriously. I heard Victor Ikpeba say he does not know the relevance of this tournament. I shook my head furiously.

This tournament should be for those who value it. I agree with you here.

Of course oliseh! I would blame him course he chose these players to start with. I'm sure there are other better players to replace some players here- but I won't sack him, unless I'm ready to hire a foreign coach.

The only coach close to him in my ranking is siasia. Other coaches hen, even if we are leading, you can't be sure cos their play would be so unpredictable and confused. If I sack oliseh, I'd rather go foreign.

Sorry they are out!!! This is why Nigerian players will never be in top 3 in Africa and in transfer market Nigerian players won't be offered something better. They should try better next time cheesy

Well , you are invited for something better since they are fighting for their profession and they lost. You shouldn't follow their part.

Louis Van Gaal is a foreign coach, we have good home grown coaches in Nigeria.

I disagree, I supported his appointment but now I doubt. since he became the coach I have not seen any team direction. in all oliseh's matches we are always losing the balls. no tactics players are always hitting the ball as if they are primary school kids. we really need to understand ourselves. I'm not impressed with Oliseh's performance.

Thank you sir. That is the 2nd best coach to ever coach the Super Eagles in my opinion. He alone won AFCON, qualified and won CHAN bronze for the first time, qualified and took SE to round of 16 of the world cup for the first time in 20 years all within 3 years. If he is not a good coach, then the term "good" must mean something else,
Did Keshi qualify Nigeria to the last Nations Cup?

Stop celebrating mediocrity. Keshi is as useless as Oliseh.. In fact he's worse!

How can the person, Keshi who won the Bronze of a tournament be worse than a person who went out first round.

Keshi was doing well in bad conditions.
His players went a long time without Bonuses, the NFF wanted him out and owed him repeatedly.
Keshi coached without a contract when we did not qualify for the AFCON.
His assistant who won the AFCON got the sack letter.
The NFF specifically told Coach Keshi to stop using home based players who Coach Keshi preferred to work with to boost his selections.

After all these, you guys will call him mediocre.

Yeah. He should realise this is more than just a knowledge of the game. It also involves leadership skill inculcation; motivational skills inculcation; awareness of the mental and psychological condition of each player before, during and after each game. Which player to talk to when chips are down that you can be assured that's what he just needs to fire up. What to say to them. Etc

So yeah, he should not be feeling like a mourinho just yet. Keshi himself didn't do a whole lot to impress, but I think his stronger skill is know how, when and which players to talk to during matches for motivation ( note, not for tactical awareness) and this may have just changed things around.

I said earlier that the players are not used to handling pressure, and this is an ability needed by any player wanting to play at the highest level.

I'm not loosing sleep cos this for us is an assessment of players to get into the eagles; and save for the no8, keeper and maaybeee chickatara; most of them don't deserve the move up.

Oliseh should be lambasted, but not sacked.

A coach that got to the world cup second round is useless? I get u, some of you folks thought oliseh was a better option but alas he don fall una hand so why drag keshi into it? If keshi who won a bronze in this same tournament is a mediocre, so what do we call oliseh? Truth be told diference btw olisen and keshi is maturity and experience. Oliseh talks too much.

We Nigerians don't like conceding defeats. You can't win all the time for crying out loud.

Since 1996 we won the Olympics, the only title we won is Coach Keshi's AFCON. How can you say we want to win all the time. We want to start winning.

Thank God he sent Coach Keshi, if not...

Nigeria needs a foreign coach who will be allowed to work without interference.
A no nonsense foreign coach who is ready to discipline arrogant and uncommitted players.
Note the word, interference... NFF must not get involved in footballing matters and player selections!!!

Oliseh did not read the game very well, he should had known that only a goal would mess the whole championship up, also knowing that if tunisa win we will come second and handed a tougher match at the quarter final, he should have gone for the kill, instead of playing safe, also having in mind that a win by guinea would have done us no good,Now tell me why play safe?
